I grew up buying all comics as a kid through a mid twenties fan. I mainly started in spring of 68. When Marvel's heroes started getting their own titles once again. The Incredible Hulk, Sub-Mariner, Ironman, Capt.America and the Silver Surfer, among others. Big fan of Marvel 1961-around 86 / 87. You hit the nail on the head on your take of these villains perfectly.

Alex Ross interviewed painting villains. The color scheme of a lot of villains: purple and green. He wears a purple shirt with a green under shirt.

Artist myself as you can see from the profile pic. You're stuff is a real inspiration, love the way you convey the moment through the emotions. Seems like the subtle differences are always there, Namor was always once of my favorites. Seemed like you enjoyed drawing him as I do.... feels like classic sculpture the way he looks and poses. Anyway sometimes I just like to bask in the moment an artist creates on every panel. If it's done right, you can breeze through but if the art sucks people stop and notice and it throws them off. You're work is so good, many people breeze through. I tend to roll through then go back and stick the page right up to my face. It's how I learn.

He has done a tribute to Alan Moore, Watchmen, Swamp-Thing, Constantine etc.

Green Goblin (and Spider-Man) became really interesting when Romita arrived. I love the way Alex Ross portrays Romita's GG in a way that is both faithful and very realistic. Romita (Sr) is the one who best represented Spider-Man and all the characters, especially Peter Parker. The Green Goblin of the movie was a disappointment in a movie that is rather well done, where we can recognize the spirit of the comics, even if there are some choices that I find unfortunate, like the removal of Gwen Stacy and the organic webs. We only find this respect of the spirit of the comics with Sam Raimi's movies. And to conclude, even if Ross doesn't like Venom, it would have been too bad if he hadn't done it because it's particularly good.

Could we have Steve ditko acknowledge as the true creator of Spider-Man and Stanley as editor ditko never got the credit he earned it all went to the owner's nephew

All the Stan Lee idolaters would revolt to shut you down. The more that comes out about Stan Lee, the less of a hero he is. He underpaid, abused, and stole credit a lot from his coworkers and employees.

The idea that was simply just an editor is ridiculous. Sure he downplayed Ditko, but that doesn't mean he wasn't the writer.

@@bunceman4613 he gave story beats just a couple of sentences the artist made the hole story last pages and stand placed the words into it

@@cohenlabe1 If he came up with the concept, approached Kirby and then later approached Ditko, whilst having the plot beats in his head, that makes him the co-creator. Both groups who try to put only one creator on the pedestal are just ignorant.

Spider-Man has the best villains. I know people say Batman has the best villains but it's not even close. Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Vulture, Electro, Kingpin, Mysterio, Scorpion, Rhino, Sandman, etc...I won't count the McFarlane crap...lol
