My favorite song off the album. The swings from melodic to hard. The singing on the track. Masterful album

It's simple; I listened to most of the newest album just to hear your magnificent work as a percussionist.

This is my favorite track of the album. Everything about it is a damn work of art. The cymbal work is Stewart Copeland level drumming. Amazing job Alex, and everyone in the band on this entire album, and THANK YOU!

@@TylerHNothing Specific musical appreciation is subjective. Your preferences are moot in regards to the best album he has ever heard. I could name a minimum of 30 albums which are, unequivocally, instrumentally superior to the 2 you mentioned, but more importantly, they’re much heavier/faster because that’s what I’m into. Neither of us can claim that our respective tastes are more musically significant than the other. I do like PINK FLOYD though.

I'm not sure why, as these drum parts and tones are some of the best I've heard in modern metal. However, I'm just still gutted that things couldn't work out. I was really hoping you had found your spot in a good band. It's a shame you never seemed to get the recognition you deserved there!

Overview Lyrics Come to the surface, my son You're not breathing so well I couldn't stand to lose you another time But this is not real, we're not here Don't you understand that we've already lost one another? Please accept reality So I can finally be free Where will we be in the years to come? I know somewhere inside you is me Crying out for help, but I'm right here with you Begging you to see the hell we've created I know it's hard to accept the truth But it's time to let this all go Let this all go Let this all go I'm holding onto your neck It's taking everything for me to not watch you Fade out into the sound of nothing But this is not real, we're not here Don't you understand that we both have to move on together? Without you, there's no me There's no us, there's no family It's so dark, it's so quiet now Is there anyone out there? Anyone? I'm alone again, just what I'm used to I'm here, bow to the ancient God The portal is shut, locked, no way out This is home This isn't home, it's hell with a lovely face The mask just hides the truth that controls our fate Take a look around, my friend That part of our life is dead So tell me where will we be in the years to come? I know somewhere inside you is me Crying out for help, but I'm right here with you Begging you to see the hell we've created I know it's hard to accept the truth But it's time to let this all go Let this all go

I always thought Alex's intricacies and fills were in a way too "fancy" for Whitechapel - like, listening to the music as a whole, I'd never notice the subtleties and nuances he brings to the kit, but watching him is another story. I'll miss him in the band, but I'm excited to see what's next. I'd be shocked if he doesn't end up in a big name band very soon.
@TheSteviebobevie Жыл бұрын
Man Navene Koperweis did the same for them on The Valley, and the guy before was a beast too. Ben something I think. Whitechapel cannot seem to keep a drummer which is ironic bc their albums over time have had outstanding mf drumming on MANY tracks. It just keeps coming nonetheless!

0:48 this sequence really had me messed up for second cause the movement made it looked like you played a one-handed flam with your left hand between the china and snare. I was like "I know he's good, but come on there's no way!"😅
