If you are picking a Pickering on your top 5 list, you lose a little credibility. Yes, it is a great tree for size, but it is not a top 5 for flavor. Once you start eating great mango, it will pail in comparison! I think 20 out of 21 people will agree with this statement. I have had 4 Pickering trees, so know the fruit very well. I had the trees because I was wanting fruit while my other trees got to the proper size to push fruit. Once they reached good yielding capability, Steve at Fruitscapes got them back to sell at his place. The only thing I can say is, they must taste different on the East coast. lol
