Audio could have been better, I know. Will do better next time :) What's your eye floater journey been like? Would you like to see more of these interview style discussions on the channel?

Hi Doc. Have you tried Intermittent or prolonged fasting, to try remove the floaters naturally? I recently got lots of these bastards and I was wondering if fasting could help in any way.

That’s an interesting theory. I’ve heard it talked about before, but haven’t specifically looked into it. I do have experience of intermittent fasting, so perhaps it would be a good topic for a future video. Thanks for your comment.

When I first got my floaters my eyes were hurting really bad like there was a hair in my eyes. I remember my eyes went extremely blurry and colors were not very bright as well. I went to a eye doctor soon later and they said my eyes were just dry and sent me on my way. Did anyone else get the same symptoms before getting their floaters?
@Dronanknight22 күн бұрын
Yes. I think that started in the beginning of 2024.

Hi Martin, thanks for making this and all the other videos! Everyhing about floaters is interesting to me as I am contemplating a floaters only vitrectomy (fov) for a couple of years now after a posterior vitreous detachment in both of my eyes. Good to be aware of the "core" vitrectomy option (my eye doctor never told this to me, i guess because I am older (59 years). Actually they said is was nearly certain that I would get a cataract after surgery. The general risks of the fov are keeping me from having a surgery although the floaters are slowly but steady getting worse. Alexander was saying in the video that the risks should not keep me from having a vitrectomy. Would you agree?

Thanks so much for the comment. It’s been my observation that many of the surgeons that do vitrectomy ops regularly, don’t consider the risks to be much greater than many other procedures. Non-floater Vitrectomy is done routinely for retinal repairs and vitreo-retinal procedures without complications. It’s just that, it may take someone that is experienced in FOV for them to feel confident in the outcomes for floaters only treatment. Hopefully I’ll do an interview with a surgeon sometime soon.
