Andy is was your lucky day finding that spring on the ground. Very correct about high pressure fluids and serious damage to skin. This spring a friend was pressure washing a piece of equipment and some how he dropped the pressure washer wand and the flipped and hit him in the arm penetrating his skin, he ended up in Emergency Medical on IV drip for several days to stop the infection.

Alex should google ''hydraulic injection injury''. Well, everybody should do that, and look at the pictures. Everytime you work on hydraulic systems you will have those pictures in mind, better than every waring sign. Youre having a very bad day when the hydraulic jet enters your skin. Would be half as bad if it went straight through, but the jet gets distorted by the flesh, tendons, and bones, etc, so if it enters your finger tip it can get straight through, or it exits at your shoulder blade. Unpredictable. Nice video, and a quick fix without too much expense.

We have a bobcat at my shop. It had sat for years. I got it running and filled the hydraulic oil. Found 2 bad hoses. More oil and found the 3rd leaking. It was bucket tilt. I loosened it up and it was just dribble....dribble...dribble. slowly. I keep un screwing it and when it got to the last thread it blew off all over me. I learned a valuable lesson. Glad I didn't hurt myself

The peoples republic of NY environmental revenue generators rushed to the scene and he has to dig it up. Personally I think people should mind their own business. It came out of the ground.
