She conducted herself in a horrible manner there, very sarcastic, snidy and condescending. Very convenient from the BBC not to have her interviewing Darling the following night, as they knew she couldn't possibly talk to him like that. Everything in that NO camp is so corrupt its past being cringeworthy. Vote YES Scotland, let's create a better place to live in!

R B Shields 1.3 Trillion in debt, 100,000 more Scots children to move into poverty due to the coalition's policies, 60% MORE austerity cuts to come, 140% rise in food bank use, 4 Billion to be removed from the block grant, nuclear weapons being driven through Glasgow... I'd love to hear how we are better together because I've been waiting the whole referendum campaign and not ONE BT person has made a positive case. Wonder why...

Noticed that too Neil, if she had interviewed Darling, the viewer would have an easy point of reference to see the contrast in approach... and they knew that.

bird's pathetic attempts to wrong foot FM were dreadful to watch. she appeared totally out of her depth throughout. her rude, sneering, sarcastic, condescending tone making her look a complete & utter fool, dealing with a serious topic such as Scotland's future is definitely not her forte. she came across as a fully paid up member of the "No" camp. only thing missing was the union flag dress. our FM came across as being fully in control, giving clear & concise answers to questions, (which he somehow managed to fit in between bird's constant interruptions)

She really ought to stick with reading the news on the tele pronter. Daily Rcord type slagging and inability to conceal bias are not the hallmark of a good interviewer. On the positive side Alex was given plenty practice to hostile Questioning.

Jackie Bird really comes across as a spitefull condescending ...pheeerr... trying to be civil and not name call. Her rolling eyes and whole demeanour do the lady no favours. Alex on the other hand calm and statesman like throughout.

What did you expect?.... She's a pre-programmed BBC. stooge.

Bongo Brian....as expected! ..I said months ago, That, as we get closer to 'The Day!' Expect to see more vitriolic, personal attacks on the leaders of the Yes! campaign, from the MSM. I don't think I'll be wrong! After months and months of ridicule, fear, and bluster, from mainstream establishment media outlets. We can now see the desperation beginning to show through.

I don't have a dog in this particular fight but let me tell you something. I used to live in NI and if Scotland decides to secede from the rest of the UK, those Scotch-Irish, pro union protestants in NI would feel abandoned and confused about their identity. Consequently NI will unify with the republic of Ireland. You Scots better start looking at the big picture here. If the Scots vote for independence, the SNP will become the dominant political party in Scotland for the foreseeable future. The SNP will in effect become to Scotland what the ANC is to SA. The Party that liberated the Scottish people from the yoke of the English. Alex Salmond's place in Scottish history will be secure. As far as the rest of the UK is concerned, well politically, Scottish independence will mark the end of the Labour party as we know it. This is really fascinating to watch from the sidelines. I am just enjoying the show here. I am not even from that part of the world.

Is Jackie Bird still in her job at the BBC? as this proves her total bias. I stopped watching the BBC after the referendum. 56 of 59 shows I am not the only one. We need in Scotland a SBC not a BBC in Scotland and this woman need not apply for a job she would be better looking at the Daily Mail in Scotland
@LinnTractorNut10 жыл бұрын
It reminds me of a scolding an American politician once recieved in a debate after fabricating an answer: "You are entitled to your own opinions but not to your own facts." You would have no doubt where Jackie Bird stands. Salmond is as brilliant as he is patient. Being upbeat and positive is why YES will win!

Who does that woman thinks she is? Condescending , supercilious ,sneering and ignorant tele prompter reader. I am really getting to the point that the BBC Scotland is disgusting and beyond the pail. Time for a mass rejecting of the TV tax - I pay this damned woman's salary and that of the other sneering so called interviewers.

Ha-ha! Jackie Bird can read Alex Salmond like a book. He's so predictable and so obviously all about himself.

She destroyed Mr Salmond, he looked totally out of his depth, she put the hard questions to him and he floundered at each and everyone. Look forward to seeing a sensible no majority on the 19th and then we can get on with something a bit more worth while than grudge and dreamers looking for their own annihilation and everyone else with it..
@Gixerthouk310 жыл бұрын
She "destroyed" him and he "floundered" .....laughable at best. Jackie Bird is fighting on behalf of the BBC....to think otherwise is equally laughable.

Funtastic Casino So how do you feel now that anti-independence groups are stabbing and beating Yes voters and lining up doing Nazi salutes?? Clearly you have no understanding of the impartiality promised by the BBC and why this display of complete ignorance from Bird is unacceptable. He never floundered, her questions were uneducated and aggressive, and she was clearly completely out of her depth, she is just a presenter. I'm not personally a member of the SNP and I do not think that Salmond is infallible but he served our country well and started a moral revolution.

Personally don't see how she was patronising, she was highlighting the real issues and the more realistic aspects of Separation and not focusing on the 'best case scenario' wee Eck seems to be hell bent on.

The only idiot there was wee Eck! Jackie Bird can see right through his type a mile off, anyone who disagrees is simply kidding themselves. I think it shows who was right and who was not by the referendum result. No is the answer.
