Even better at second listening. The people of an independent Scotland will get to decide what is best for their future. It will require a party with a manifesto to hold a referendum on the issue to be elected in Holyrood before any change to the Head of State could be considered.

The issue of a Scottish republic was for another vote. Typical of Scottish unionist media to conflate independence with the monarchy. (Also pensions, EU membership and whatever else frightened uninformed folk). A wonderful statesman, gone far too soon. RIP Alex Saor Alba

She knew where that Royal line can be traced back to,...back to the Royal line of the two twins born to the one who waited beside the road to seduce her once father in-law as he made his way to see his sheep shearers. That is why the red chord surrounds the Royal flag of Scotland, that Mr. Salmond is talking about, as a reminder of the chord tied to one of the twins when they were being born. The Celtic Germanic people who are descended from that Royal lineage.

Elected head of state you say Alex ? I'm sure the great Donald John Trump is eligible for this role .Applying the criteria for eligibility to play for the Scotland football team, in an (not going to happen) Independent Scotland Donald would be first choice .
