Best explanation / breakdown yet!

At 6:30, the B natural is an augmented 4 from the previous note (F). This makes sense over a D minor since the B would imply a dorian mode (which tends to be the default minor mode for jazz).

For being an educator--apparently-- you're awfully dismissive. You should submit to GW and teach us then.

fourths....except for b/g which is a third.....just like the man said
@ubdejones1

The ancient string instruments played the scales downwards and were tuned in fifths. with guitar is the same thing: G to D is a fifth, D to A, A to E. And in sometime in the history of guitar, there were added 2 more strings for extended range, tuned in fifth's too: E to B is a fifth.

So you'd rather think that the guitar is tuned some parts ins forths and some parts in thirds instead of being tuned fully in fifths? sound so wrong to me

Gabby, it's not a good idea to publicly disagree with Alex about guitar unless you've done some research first because chances are you're probably wrong.

Look up Carl Kress. He tuned in 5ths.
