Alex Vincent Replies to my Chucky The TV Series Critique

Kind of upset that this is how my first interaction with Alex Vincent went. Outside of that, I hope everyone's doing good, it feels good to finally be back and record a video for everyone again, I want to say thank you to everyone for supporting this channel!

He probably took the thread down because he was bothered by your opinion, and didn’t want to look bad lol. I believe Christine Elise has also done something similar. Same with Don. It’s really pathetic they’re getting this butt hurt over an opinion and a fan of the franchise lol. I agree with your points completely, and I prefer the older films over the newer ones. This is gonna be blunt, but I blame Don for this franchise going downhill. Yes, I appreciate him coming up with the concept of Chucky and trying to continue it, but his writing is iffy, he misses plot details, and gets too carried away trying to include camp or “humor”. Like just relax Don. I think the show is decent, but the most weak episodes had Don in full control, which tells you something. I honestly feel like this show has a lot of potential, but Don just misses some of these good opportunities. I also wish they’d chill out with the teen drama with the show. The focus on it a little bit too much. There’s some other things I could mention, but it would be too long. Chucky is my fav slasher and franchise, so I just want to see it do well.

I can see from following all these videos that you are coming from a place where it's hard to relate to the perspective being talked about, and it can seem confusing to be received with reactions like this. Especially in the aspect of commenting on experiences in the Queer community (the main aspect I can comment on) we get bombarded with what we can see here as what's called microtransgressions. To put it more simply and directly for this specific case: invalidation. This doesn't imply you did anything on purpose but take into account people do go out of their way to purposely say real nasty stuff even to this day. Heck, there are even a ton of laws coming up against the community right now even in super blue states like California. This isn't so much to start an argument as much as to say, try to understand we in the community get so riled up over the topic easily because most of the time, we don't even have the full support of our own family so it's hard to sit and have a proper talk about it with every single person who may have good intentions but doesn't really know about what one is going through. It's hard to gauge who will have a proper talk and who's just trying to fuck around.

I completely agree homophobia isn’t nearly as common, as it was back in the day, but they are still homophobic towns, so maybe the town, Jake lives in is just highly homophobic? I’m pretty sure those kinds of towns, and neighborhoods still exist, even in the current day. I do admit tho, Alex definitely seem to completely over exaggerated here, and I don’t think he should’ve responded to you in way that he did. I just wanna let you know, this comment is not meant to spread any hatred towards you towards you. I just disagree with that particular statement. Have a great night, Man!

Don Mancini fails at making chucky scary and funny at the same time I rather watch the childs play 2019 remake than watch this cheap show in my opinion the first 3 childs play movies are the good ones the rest are just cheap and lazy written chucky movies including curse of chucky and I know a lot of people love that one but I don't but if you do like it that's fine
