A lot of the support for Harris is because she was part of the original ticket. To me it's a sign that there was a lot of steady support for Biden that was reliable enough to freely add additional support to.

The Harris-Walt movement represents the sensible adults in the American room calling an end to the MAGA kid’s recess…it’s now time for all patriots to get busy and vote blue. You have a lot of ground to cover in order to repair and make up for the damage being done by the MAGA kids. Best of luck!😊

It’s important to remember that Harris stepped right into the very robust campaign infrastructure that Biden had built. By giving her his endorsement and his entire campaign-offices, staff, and money-Biden put her in a winnable position, which she has very capably stepped into. She gets to seem like something of an outsider while also holding the reins of a very experienced, professional campaign. It’s great; it’s lightning in a bottle.

Beyond the angst, divisiveness, and insanity of what DJT and the GOP has brought and continues to bring, bottom line, the Democratic Party offers a much more inclusive platform for all Americans! So why wouldn’t a majority of folks be uplifted ?! Vote ALL Blue Straight Ballot! 🌊🇺🇸💙

Just my opinion .... I truly believe that President Biden did this for his country. OFC .. he did not want to drop out.. but he DID look at the facts and realize that the best thing was that he drop out and endorse Kamala. I hope people remember the lifetime of work he did instead of his last few months tarnished by the likes of a Trump.

If I had to guess who convinced President Biden to step aside, I would guess his family, specifically his wife. I imagine they explained to him and convinced him by reminding him that he HAS DONE a great job as president and also served this country faithfully for decades. He deserves to relax and enjoy his life and Vice President Harris is COMPLETELY capable of continuing the great work he has done. Family is the only thing I think would convince him.

I love Joe, but cringe when he gets in someones face, way to close, like when the hostages were freed, he did it again. I love when he is loud and strong in a speech, vs whispering in the mic. Looking forward to an energizing Loud and strong w Joe!!

Julie Chávez Rodríguez is the stealth person behind a lot of these. She worked with Kamala before, managed Joe's winning campaign in 2020, was doing the same this year and now manages Kamala's campaign. That's why there was a very smooth transition and who knows what was her influence on convincing Joe to let go.

Having a not exhausted President Joe Biden behind you is not an inconsiderable advantage. He has been more productive and done greater things than many Democratic presidents especially since he hasn’t had much support in Congress. And by passing the baton to Kamala he’s put the future and the welfare of our nation first, behind his ego. That could be argued to be the greatest accomplishment of all.

I think President Biden could of went ethier way in his mind...l believe that at the end of the day it was sitting down with his wife and going over the pros and cons...something tells me that she leaned towards, how about taking the years left and passing them together with our family...?

The way the rightwing media machine made endless hoaxes about his children...They are evil people and I don't trust anyone who supports them. Biden could take his family out of the firing line by stepping down. And the rightwing media couldn't catch up to their new targets in time to smear them yet.
