While a champion to some, she was an activist that in her zeal to stand on her morals, she threw under the bus, she gave aid and comfort to our enemy during conflict. YOu can split hairs about war or not, but the lives of American soldiers were in the balance and the people of today would have let her actions stand. "The Hanoi Hilton, also known as Hoa Lo Prison, held American prisoners of war (POWs) from 1964 to 1973. The prison was originally designed to house 460 people, but was often overcrowded. The prison was known for its harsh conditions, including torture and abuse in violation of the Geneva Conventions. Inmates were kept shackled to their beds. Nearly 114 American prisoners of war died in captivity at the Hanoi Hilton." ANy "legacy" that talks about her must include this little nugget. I won't take away from the good she's done. Met her in 1968 as a freshman at Michigan State after she gave what she termed a "lecture" at the main auditorium. She was wearing a rust colored pantsuit with matching shirt. I can still picture her at the podium, one foot slightly back and gesturing in an understated way with her fist as she made her points. I told her how much I enjoyed her lecture, and asked for her autograph when she was sitting in her car, but she declined, citing concerns about FBI and CIA as I recall. She graciously offered to write anything else, but I figured what's the point. Wish I had taken the offer. She was also wearing a campaign style pin on her outfit, but I can't remember what it said. Can't believe how beautiful and young she still looks at 87, however she does it. She was articulate and passionate then as she is now.

How she looks isn't normal! You can see she has been fine top to bottom. God you people are gullible. She has money no worries nice place to live personal trainers dieticians and can have vacations whenever she wants and she has been lucky with her health. Most people are dead before 87!

@@EufemiaSarmiento-t2v . IMHO Jane Fonda is not an American Patriot. She is a traitor against America. Her stand of going to Hanoi during the Vietnam war is completely treasonous. She used her position against the U.S. I have more respect for the thousands of college students who protested the Vietnam war. The Democratic Party needs to sever ties with her immediately. My brother who died on a hill in Vietnam was a true patriot, serving his country in its time of need. Vietnam was a tragic part of our history.

Totally. She effectively throws their own logic back at them by just existing. They made the country all about money and popularity, whoever had the gold made the rules; and now they get mad when one of the richest and most popular women in the world uses her influence and they can’t control anything about it. I think im officially a Swifty now. ❤
