I found out today, that the reason Mob beauty and Mac's formulas remind me so much of each other. Is because the chemist behind Mac cosmetics is the same chemist for Mob beauty.

Yes! Vic was the chemist at MAC and is now one of the founders of MOB. He has an entire book of MAC formulas (where lip liner "M1990" came from). It is so fascinating!

Alexa this video was wonderful and personally I really enjoyed the soft jazz throughout! Lovely. I really resonated with what you say about the MAC modular palettes and how while they are an investment up front they are a money saver over time. I have 3 of the 15 MAC palettes like yours, one is cool-toned, one is warm toned, and one is a very versatile neutral palette that bridges the gap between the warm and cool ones. I also have 6 colours I use all the time and I keep them in a smaller palette where I add 6 other shadows from the bigger palettes to make a 12 palette that I change out whenever I fancy. I know that sounds very specific but I really curated these palettes to make them as functional as possible because of the investment. Every time a new palette comes out I say to myself, don’t need it, I can build it with my MAC ones, and the MAC shadows performance never fails for me. I love the long form content. Thanks for your content, really enjoying it. 😊😊

I think having specific palettes for your needs is brilliant! It makes the most of your eyeshadow collection and keeps everything in rotation. When you buy an already-made palette from the store, it isn't going to be 100% the way you want it, so being able to customize your own palettes to fit exactly what you want is amazing! @@lex_faceit Thank you for your reply! I completely agree. There was always something I wanted to change with the few pre-made palettes I had before, or I would run out of my most used shades first only to be left with the shades that were more for occasion use that would sit for ages. With MAC modular you can replace your most often used without wasting your current palette and replacing it with another just for your favourite shades. Singles don’t really serve me either because I use 2-3 shadows at a time, so custom was the way to go for me! Glad to have like minded folks here who love the palette-chat as much as I do! 😊💖

I loved the first video that you did in this style, and somehow this one is even better. I guess the addition of the loungey jazz made it more intimate and gave it “ hanging with a friend “ feel. I have received and used the new concealer. I’m intrigued to hear what you think about it, and if it’s the same as me. Never stop doing these kinds of videos - to me this is what makeup is all about. This video was such a pleasure to watch! It reminds me of those old M.A.C days. Back at the time it was the only brand that I wanted to buy and I had the chance to be a M.A.C employee in Belgium, it was 11 years ago or something like that. Alexa it’s Joanne with my many questions. lol Is the tallow balm a heavy moisturizer just for nighttime? I have been hearing other KZbinrs talking about it. What makes it so special? Trying to decide if I want to order it. Thanks Alexa

You can buy beef tallow or whipped beef tallow. I prefer the whipped version because it has an airy-ness to it (think butter vs. whipped butter). The benefits are incredible! Because beef tallow is an animal fat, it mimics the natural oils we produce in our skin. It is also a natural source of Vitamin A (natural retinol),D, E, & K. The ingredients are usually very minimal too! I HIGHLY recommend trying it...it is basically the only skincare product I need because it does everything :)

Strobe dewy skin tint has a tint to it with pearl...there is an element of coverage. Strobe cream has no tint with pearl.

Love your videos so much! Love you have been doing more and they are so nice and creative! The music is nice but for me since I had a previous brain injury it’s tough for me to watch! I usually find your videos so calming. Of course I am just one subscriber and don’t expect you to cater to my needs but I thought I would mention. I’m sure others loved the music!
