They had a famous rivalry. They did not like each other at all

That's what I was thinking. There is no way Alekhine missed the mate. He just took the knight to say "You should have resigned by now, if you play on I will just torture you."

@@BREAKocean It's called "game of gentlemen" otherwise it would devolve into stalemate first opportunity, so Idk that it has to specifically be anything. It is expression though.

You always explain moves with behind ideas which very clearly to understand. Very good presentation skill. Thank you.

Its like if you are from Scandinavia you play Scandinavian defense, and if your last name happens to be Alekhin you have to play Alekhins defense 👍🏻

Scots game breaks the rule. Scottish game should be called. Is the Ukrainian defense a game?? Just asking. It would be a great reply to the Gruenfeld Russian systems!

I like this video because it's a great way to respond to e4. This is just fantastic chess.

Sammy, this is the best analysis of chess I have ever seen. Usually other analysts will digress by bringing up other games such that if black plays this then white plays that. It becomes a mess. Rather we should think in simple terms of what is the best move in the given position. Now if only I could think like Alekhine!

Game three shows how with sound opening even tactical inefficiency is very entertaining because maybe he knows exchange path but he knows board either way.
