I truly believe his best is yet to come as he's so talented. Just hopes he gets quality material to showcase his immense talents. I do believe his latest film, released in Germany on July 1, "I Am Your Man" may be the film to catapult him further. Got rave reviews at the Berlinale Film Festival and it is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on Sept. 17 and on VOD. Can't wait.

@@svenner80 But sadly and kind of mind-boggling, he wasn't even *nominated* for Best Supporting Actor as all the nominations went to dramatic roles. No separate category for comedy or musical for supporting roles, ONLY best actor and best actress who have two categories -- best actor in a drama and best actor in a comedy or musical......but Dan certainly put himself on the map with his breakthrough performance and opened many eyes, especially the industry he's in.

He and that jumping gazelle in the background was the best part of the movie. The fact that he sounded like Bascov and dressed like Kirkorov (the Russian singer the actor was inspired for the personage) was priceless, sadly it’s something that only Russians can appreciate. But at least the “He/Him” and the “mother Russian don’t letting him to be happy” was evident for everyone, it’s nice to see that they added social/politics criticism presented as a comedy.

We'd never seen anything like that at Eurovision - Mans was the first person to have an "interactive" screen the year before and no one had ever done anything like what Sergey did. Hell, I still can't figure out how he climbed the screen and I've watched it from 5 different angles. What Sergey did in 2016 is what Stefania tried to do in 2021, only not nearly as well.

He's already proven in drama. The best is yet to come, and his major role in Starz' new miniseries, Gaslit as John Dean, is another winner. It's both comic and tragic. A gifted actor, and oh my, he looks as gorgeous as ever.

Actually, he didn't have to audition. The director, David Dobkin, came to him because he had him in mind, thinking he might be able to pull of this comic/tragic role. Dan had to be really convinced, and after the movie was finished, David Dobkin and the entire cast were completely in awe of what Dan did with the role. Beyond all expectations!!
