Derpo McRandom Sunstroke project is the best.
@angelinadash23966 жыл бұрын
Let's face it. Most of us literally only know about sunstroke project because of the gandalf head bobbing meme. Otherwise, you literally never would have heard of that song xD Besides, the eurovision performance itself for "Run Away" was mediocre at best. The background dancers were not performing anything really complicated, and the singing was ok, but definitely nothing to write home about. And the song itself, while we have a lot of nostalgic meme feelings attached to it, if it weren't for the meme, the song itself is OK for a pop song, but the lyrics are just once again, MEDIOCRE. There was literally ONLY ONE VERSE AND ONE INTERLUDE! ONLY ONE VERSE, WTF?!?!?!?! THAT'S PATHETIC! It's clear that the artists literally had trouble coming up with lyrics, because like 50% of the song was just repeating the same 2-sentence chorus over and over, became monotonous and boring. And the interlude was boring too. Once again still, repeating the same sentence twice, with that sentence being convoluted and nonsensical. If it weren't for the sick beat and the skillfull violin as well as epic sax guy, it's safe the say the whole song would have fallen flat on its head. Do you even know what placement they got in eurovision 2010? 22ND PLACE. 22ND PLACE! THAT IS NOT IMPRESSIVE AT ALL! Needless to say, I am definitely not the only one in this world who thought the song wasn't that great. It's a good song as a song in itself if you like that genre, but it is definitely not any contest-winning material. TOo simplistic, too short, too monotonous and repetitive. I am not saying this to be an asshole. I am saying this to open all of youyr guys' eyes to reality from your memestic blinders' nostalgia. Someone like me MUST give a non-biased critical analysis of the song to give it an accurate and FAIR score. So no, were it not for the gandalf meme, Epic Sax guy definitely would not make it even to the bottom of this top ten list, let alone be known by ANYONE in america. We need to stop deluding ourselves in favor of memes and biased preferences, and truly rate performances and songs accurately and fairly by their technical merit.

Hmmmm....as an American, the "we're surprised Finland sent a heavy metal band" threw me for a loop Considering HIM had the first album to hit gold here in the states, along with a lot of their modern contributions being heavy metal, it's only surprising that the narrator is surprised. Finland deserves some Eurovision respect, not only did they bring the first metal act but they won the damn thing doing it.... that's pretty incredible!

We got idol, the voice, got talent and all that jazz in Europe to. Eurovision is all your national pride sent into 3 minutes, and 3 hours of every feeling you know of. And you watch it with all friends and family or at your local pub. The nation freeze and evolves to a nation wide mega party afterwards. Eurovision was created to unify a post WW2 continent who had turned to gravel. It was a way to keep the peace and rebuild our bonds. It represent equality, togetherness and love. For everyone. ESC is not like American idol.

Eurovision is unique for all Europeans. It’s something from our past, from our childhood..

I know about Eurovision since my birth. My whole family was gathering to watch competition. First, We were sending 2 sms for Azerbaijan, which is our brother country, then 1 sms for the country, who had the best song 😂🤣. But since 2012, my country, Turkey doesn't join the Eurovision. So now, we just watch its videos, and follow the competition from youtube. Not being able to eat something you like the taste of is worse than not being able to eat something you don't know the taste of. I wish I were American 😅 By the way, the real winner of 2010 is Manga. Never forget it.
@lieve6483 жыл бұрын
@@gyghfhyh7439 That is excatly what is wrong with the Eurovision. Voting for a country just because its your neighbor or just because the country has a good relationship with your country. Everybody should just vote for who they think is best that year.
