Yes, excellent way to put it! True Blood shows us a side to Eric beyond how he is with Sookie - since "book Sookie" only see's Eric from Sookies POV only He's an absolute flirtatious, intelligent, hot gentleman. The bit in her dream became the Eric we all love from the books. season 3 should be great - staked (or otherwise hurt) Sookie being healed (again) by Eric! Looking forward to a certain emotional 'bonding' scene at The King of MS's home! (A.B. has said he will be in season 2 too!).

OMVG! So amazing! Watched with anticipation last night and have been dying to see it again ever since. Thank you so much for posting it, especially with all the extra trouble you had to go through to get it posted. How stupid! It's not like it was full-frontal or anything, just a little bit more of Alexander's wonderful body. Yet they allow the shower scenes in other films to be shown!(not that I'm complaining) I just think that's stupid. Hopefully, Eric is right, this is just the beginning.

I definetely think that Eric is manupulating Sookies dream.but really! he sounds so cute, and the way he looks at her and kisses her hand while she talks! oh my god! I wouldnt mind that he manupulates my dreams anytime!Since the beginning of the show I always liked Eric but everyone liked more Bill. but Eric is sexier, prettier, and I love his misteruiousness. yes it's really interesting how everything evolved for eric & sookie in the book. at first it's all just about business with eric and his personal gains, but then he started having feelings for her more than he's ever willing to admit to himself. we see eric get confused, become unglued and rendered sort of powerless by his own stagnated-for-1000-years human emotions. bill left sookie by choice with no influence from eric whatsoever, and eric's been there for sookie ever since. it's beautiful.

trust me, when u get to read the rest of the books esp. book 4, u'd go even crazier! bill left cos he was called upon by lorena. yes, lorena was supposed to appear in book 3, not this season. but oh well. the bond between maker and child is strong so bill couldn't resist her. but he intended to leave sookie anyway. it's really sad. he lied to sookie, kept things from her, just left her with no money or security. eric provided all that, and so much more. he's such a sweetheart, really :-)

We will definitely be seeing more Eric in season 3. I mean come on, Eric and Sookie are destined to be together based on the books, which I hope Alan Ball stays true to. Eric kinda reminds of William 'Bill' Munny from "Unforgiven." He's a badass and ruthless, but meets the woman who will make him melt and make him a better man. He's like a tootsie pop: hard on the outside, and soft and gooey on the inside - that's if he will let you in. And hopefully Sookie becomes less annoying.

in the books, eric is this sensitive guy in whom sookie can confide anything, and they would laugh silly. he's always there to listen to her. no matter how horny he is, he's all ears when it comes to sookie's problems and sees to it that she's protected. it's not just about lust. it's a chemistry that eric and sookie have, and this is why eric is so much better than bill. i can't wait until their story surfaces. im interested in how the whole love triangle thing will be played out :-)

eric in the books is different in many ways from eric on the show. there are similarities but only a few. im just glad they casted alex for the role, he's perfect. but they need to pay more attention to the character. it's time they give the fans what they really want.

maybe we've mistaken influence for manipulation :) Eric may be able to influence sookie's mind, but manipulating it means forcing her or directing her to go whichever way he prefers, like a puppetmaster. eric is manipulative but i don't think he'd take it this far. it will destroy the good elements about them.but if it's power of influence he's using on her, still sookie can decide whether to succumb to it or break away. she still has the will..or something like that. lol yes we'll see :)
