My Alexander Teacher (back in the 1990s), mentioned that he found that in the course of teaching pupils that as the students bodies released, they expressed submerged emotion, memories and psychological hubris. He therefore went to university to study psychology to compliment his Alexander Technique practice in Auckland NZ. I recall his touch as being warm, firm, and comforting. When I begin loosing mindful inhibited use of my body I actively recall his touch. This is critical given now have collected the experience of way too many serious motor vehicle accident whiplash injuries, that compromised my motorcycling and rock climbing performance. Alexander Technique was Also very useful when floating concrete on my hands and knees. These days due to the many accidents, I suffer CRPS. Alexander technique helps to dramatically reduce the number of significant flares. Antony's videos have been useful too for reminding me to avoid end gaining action, and have allowed me to reintroduce flow back into everyday life despite significant chronic pain. Unfortunately A.T. is not inexpensive, and due to my now limited income I must rely on sources like KZbin. Thank you.
