Poor posture is a powerful “activator and perpetuator” of myofascial trigger points (Simons et al. 1998) and is always worth considering in chronic trigger point syndromes.

This is the only actual and comprehensive explanation on the AT I’ve found on KZbin thank you lol literally every other one in the top selection even the ted talk are garbage. Only attempts to poorly explain the history and the technique lacklustre. Thanks for explaining thoroughly and properly!!

When I discovered this, it was revolutionary. I've always struggled with poor posture, but this technique was the first way I've been able to maintain good posthre without my back hurting. It feels natural

I just finished reading The Invisible Rainbow, about the history of electricity, radiofrequency technology and human health, and 1886 was an important year in the book, because that was approximately when the world started to incorporate electricity into houses, businesses and towns. After reading that book and researching the effects that electricity and radiofrequency technology can have on people (some people are especially sensitive apparently), I checked F.M. Alexander's story again, and 1886 was around when his vocal struggles began for him, so what I'm thinking is that F.M. Alexander was sensitive to electromagnetism and didn't know it. If you were to go back through his books and replace "modernity" or "the modern world" and other terms like those with "electromagnetic radiation," then you'd see something interesting. If I'm correct, and I admit my case that I'm making is not rock solid, but if I'm right, then the Alexander Technique was actually inadvertently designed to help with the neuromuscular symptoms of electromagnetism exposure, and all the people out there who report suffering from symptoms of electromagnetic sensitivity should go ahead and try the Alexander Technique (along with Focusing and Somatic Experiencing) to see if it can help them manage their symptoms. Soon there will be tens of thousands of low earth orbiting satellites blanketing the earth in 5G frequencies, and that is added on top of what we currently have which is absurdly intense and dangerous already.

This is interesting to me because Ive discovered something similar on my end. If I spend time talking on the phone while sitting up in bed and with pillows supporting my head, my throat becomes hoarse after just a few mins of doing so. The conclusion I came to was less eloquent than what you describe but I believe it creates the same result.

Hi,I enjoy your videos educational and enjoyable to watch. I've been looking for some good books. I didn't save my books from Uni from a few years ago , so now remembering all the release techniques for trigger points and posture correction techniques has been difficult. Could you recommend any books which have the techniques for all the skeletal muscles? I'm looking for books which concentrate on the muscle origin insertion, action, referred pain, trigger point release steps. Other posture correction techniques. İncrease range of motion techniques. ECT. More the practical side than the theory.

What I don't understand is how to hold it there without getting tired? Surely tight pec muscles causing rounded shoulders and weak/inactive back muscles are going to make the Alexander Technique nearly impossible to sustain? Or am I missing something?
@TEWMUCH
@TEWMUCH 3 жыл бұрын
Ur right. Ur entire body has to respond to this change. Your back may not be able to sustain it yet. TRY CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS!! This will help release your back, and begin to break up that old muscle memory.
