King porus actually won the war against Alexander in the battle of hydaspes. Porus almost killed Alexander, but Alexander was weaponless and indian kings dont attack weaponless or who have already surrendered. Alexander was at the mercy of king porus, any wrong move and he would be crushed by elephants of king porus. Alexander surrendered in front of porus. King porus forgave him and then his soldiers took his body and ran away
