@@mikaelplaysguitar Mineral water, but in reality the wine tasting pairings can and are usually split in two, so both can taste. Or the 2nd person prefered to stay sober or got a glass on the house, like the Yquem which isn't on the bill either.

I had no idea that Shiseido had extended into the food and beverage sector, much less owned a place like L’Osier! The transition from a pharmacy selling ice cream sodas to hosting a French culinary haven is mind-blowing.

It IS crazy - But its supply and demand and Bourgogne/Burgundy DRC or Dom Leroy is THE "cool" wine to have sadly. Back in 2001 I paid just 300 eur for a 5-course dinner with a DRC tasting of 1995 before it - All reds - RC, LT, RSV, RB, GE and E were all there and then 1970 Vega Sici thrown in too. Also there were glasses of Clos Vougeot at the dinner too if you ran out of DRC wines. Today that tasting + dinner would have cost 5000 eur per person if not more.

For those interested in a more downscale version of this, there are Shiseido Parlors all across Japan. For the average Japanese citizen they are fairly expensive dinners ranging from 3600-11000 yen (though affordable to Americans haha...). Their Fruits Parlors specifically have some of the best parfaits money can buy. Highly recommend the one connected to Nagoya station.

I cannot describe how amazing it is to have DRC by the glass! ... Also for "just" 340 eur a glass it is also a slam dunk for me, even in 2013, a smaller vintage. Had DRC before but its been 23 yrs since I had RC the one/only time (1995 vintage) - Last DRC was La Tache 2017 (good but not great yet, closed, tobacco) in 2023. For Bordeaux lovers its like if they had first crus from 1982 by the glass or so.

Videos from your location have a different frame rate than those where you are in front of the camera, and that creates some jerkiness in the motion due to youtube's processing. Please film in 30fps when you are filming on location for the perfect result. Great videos!! visited Plenitude thanks to you and loved it (with a hole in my pocket to show hh)

If you revisit Sweden, there is a restaurant named Leijontornet in Stockholm that has a nice selection of premium wines. They offer bottles of D.R.C (2017, 2019, 2020) for 120 000 SEK or about 10 300 EUR incl. tax/VAT per bottle. They also have Yquems for a nice price, all bottles in stock for under 1000 EUR per bottle, except the 1997 Methuselah one which is about 2400 EUR.
