Remember -- Michelin stars are about the FOOD and only the FOOD. Ambience? Does not enter into it. Presentation, of the food. Timing of the food. THAT matters. Not anything else.

8:28 lot of respect for the sommelier - tasting, agreeing, taking it off the bill and then providing another glass is top notch service. Very well done.

I actually love Sketch. I went there for my gf's birthday and it was great. The atmosphere makes a difference in my opinion and food was delightful. I'd say its only a special occasion place for sure though.

I will say I had like no clue it was Michelin star rated. Cant help but think this knowledge actually will make you go in expecting too much to a degree. It's still brilliant though

Getting dull knives is wholly unacceptable and unnecessary. Somebody there is not caring at all and probably has his nose full of cocaine every night after service.

So it seems the high costs are more due to the expensive drinks, not so much the food. It is basically more like a wine tasting with some „snacks“.
@Tscharlieh15 сағат бұрын
I always wonder whether it is beneficial for those expensive wines when they are regularly disturbed by visitors (e.g. lights, temperature changed by the visitors, CO2 and Oxygen-levels change, etc.).

I have never eaten or "dined" in any of these "top" restaurants. I just can not imagine that the food is that much better than in any good normal restaurant or that it is worth the price. Most of the time I think this is just dumb pretending or some societal issue. Don't get me wrong, I do not want to dizz on these restaurants, I just can't wrapp my head around this, because for these prices I would demand an orgasm in my mouth that melts me to my knees, but I have never seen anything like that.

I had the opportunity to dine at Single Thread a few months back. Wonderful meal with excellent food, but the service staff and their attention to deal was easily the star of the show. Relaxed and light atmosphere that made the whole experience really stand out vs other tasting menus I've been to.

It's interesting how genuinely nice and beautiful the restaurant is in so many details, truly what where you'd expect billionaires to eat, yet most of the food they serve looks like vile slop created to appease rich people either too pretentious to eat normal food or caught in the "scene".
