They are not even only sel producing, they are self made. The only good things pledis did for them that weren’t the financial effort of the vice ceo (which is totally heartwarming but the companys fault in the first place really) was to teach woozi how to produce and making him persue it as well as having really good vocal training for all members. After debut Scoups was managing everything for the whole group and delegating the other leaders under him, Seungkwan was going around to promote them and get as many members on as many shows as possible and The China Line (and American Line) promoting themselves and the group in their respective countrys. Pledis after debut was basicly just a bank where Coups had to go and negotiate with the staff and CEO

I HATE when people have the nerve and audacity to claim that Seventeen is only popular and successful because of Hybe and being associated with BTS, "the only good, original, talented and authentic Kpop group" according to them smh. Seventeen is literally one of the most popular and successful groups in Kpop and are breaking records and winning awards left and right and have achieved the highest album sales in all of Kpop, beating even BTS, twice this year and they did all of that by themselves with their extremely hard work, passion and dedication. They're HUGE in Korea and Japan and have a big Chinese and SEA fanbase as well before Hybe even bought Pledis. The big 3 groups of the 3rd generation consist of EXO, BTS and Seventeen AKA EBS. People really need to stop discrediting and disrespecting Seventeen for no reason, that's just so toxic and unnecessary.

Not discredit anyone but promoting Seventeen more and anywhere we can (me literally requestimg Seventeen in the comments of all reaction channels lol) so that more people can see that. I can't tell you how much I've heard "At first we were intimidated to get into them because there were so many members, but once we got to know them we regretted not looking into them sooner", I'm sick of it. And Carats could be the catalyst for them to get into seventeen earlier, so that this doesn't happen as much anymore! Let's become promotion fairys to help Seungkwan out as keyboard warriors (the good kind tho) for Seventeen to reach new heights and audiences, so that no one will discredit them in the future. (And if some people still stubornly do then there's honestly no helping them... so whatever. Seventeen told us not to be angry at them for the members sake right? Not everyone will align with us and that's ok, that's life and nobody should be forced, sometimes you just have to give them a little push in the right direction and we shouldn't do more then exactly that)

I've also requested Seventeen on as many Kpop reaction channels I came across and promoted them on Kpop subreddits as well as streaming as much of their music and content as I can to support them and making more people aware of them haha! I hate how there's still so many people that refuse to get into Seventeen due to the number of members they have as if their favourite groups combined didn't have more than 13 people and seeing them disrespect and discredit absolutely everything they do and all of the incredible things they have achieved all on their own and making it seem as if they only got where they are now because they're "privileged" and were "saved" by Hybe and BTS smh. If there was one group that is the embodiment of "self made" and who did absolutely everything by themselves and is PACKED with actual all-rounders who can do everything while still being so in synch and having incredible chemistry and such genuine love for each other despite being 13 completely different people with different backgrounds and personalities, then it's most definitely Seventeen and I say that as someone who is a fan of a lot of different groups and have been for years. I REALLY wish more Carats would be active and promote the boys everywhere they can and reaching many more people as well as trying to stream their music and content to make them more visible to others, so they can FINALLY get the recognition and love they deserve so so much and worked so extremely hard for for so long. Sorry for that long rant haha, Seventeen is my favourite group and one of my favourite artists in general and have been for years now and it never fails to break my heart and frustrate me to see how so many people treat them so unfairly and pretend like they're nothing and talentless, unknown nobodies with too many members or that some of them are "filler members" that have no purpose in the group when that isn't true even in the slightest.

Why am I felt emotional when you said that "it doesn't even seem that way" about them being 13 members. Few days ago they finally won a grand prize at an award show, it's their first grand prize from the show after 9 years since their debut, and one of the member talk about how people used to point fingers at them saying they couldn't make it because they are way too many members in the group. It's true, people used to laugh at them about having 13 members. But they managed to prove those people are wrong. Idk why you think bringing up company sizes has anything to do with how many members a group should have. And just because I'm sick of people throwing around "big company" as the sole reason for a group's success, here's what actually happened with Exo and Suju if you care, though it's a pretty long read. Exo's debut was a complete flop despite the amount of money SM put into their teasers and MV. The GP completely shunned them; it was the complete opposite of you thinking the public supported them. And the money SM put into them just made everyone make fun of the group even more because of how hard it failed despite it. They only hit success luckily a year later with the XOXO album and the viral Growl. Super Junior's case isn't as dramatic but their company also wasn't their launch into stardom. Their debut just did alright, and they only started really growing a year later when they ditched their rotational concept and stopped adding members at 13. The main reason for their success was that most of the members prior to debut already had experience in acting, hosting, modelling and generally being in the public eye. No amount of "big company" influence could recreate the immense hold the SuJu members had on the GP with their TV skills they displayed in their first couple of years.

it's my first time on your channel and you guys are so lovely! seventeen is definitely that group - they have a lot of members but every one of them can sing (including all the rappers), many of the vocalists can rap too, and all of them are amazing dancers (they're known for being extremely synchronized!) you're right that seventeen loves their skits HAHA and they did mini ones to introduce a lot of the songs here. you also noticed that they really are all best friends! more like brothers actually - they fight a lot but in the end they love each other more than anyone, and that's part of the joy of watching them. they also write and produce their own music, and genuinely love their own music and music in general, so it's always fun to see what they come out with. i agree with all the other comments to do the super long guide to seventeen, you'll get to know the members better and hopefully by the end of it you might even be able to put faces to names! thanks for watching this and loving them and I'll see you on the next one!

Seventeen are the most humblest, funniest group you could ever stan. Just a couple general knowledge, they’re a self produced / made group. They debuted in their teens, so believe me they’re not just best friends, but family. Woozi (business man) writes, produces and composes svt songs since pre debut. Hoshi (shorts) choreographs svt songs along with several other members. They’re divided into sub units: vocal, hip hop and performance; each with a leader. However, the group is so well rounded, all the members can do pretty much everything. You should really react to more songs, and I would recommend reacting to “Super long seventeen guide..” yes it’s very long but it’s really good. You can always section it up into different parts. *Also this energy you’re seeing, it has been here since pre debut. And it’s crazy because this is their 8th year yet these boys act like they’re still rookies.. they know how to have fun with a crowd. There were so many questions😅 They are insanely funny. Everyone that is a real Kpop fan has heard of their variety show Going Seventeen. Yes the off white jacket is DK, he’s one of two main vocalist of Seventeen. The other one is seungkwan, gray blazer blond hair. Shorts hyper guy is Hoshi one of the two main dancers. The one speaking english was Joshua, he was born and raised in LA. The Rapper on the right is Vernon, he’s half Korean, half American. The one saying hello is S.Coups the leader of the group. Business man, blond hair and eyebrows is Woozi, the leader of the vocal team as well as the producer. He has written every song you’ve heard. The other members also take part in writing and composing their music. There’s a really looooolng guide from caratline17 that was just updated recently. The guy who started speaking in english is Joshua, and he's american from Los Angeles. The one rapper that ya'll liked who was I believe 2nd from the right is named Vernon, and he's also american from New York. Most of the group is Korean, but 2 members, Jun and THE8 are Chinese. They debuted in 2015 under Pledis Entertainment which was acquired by HYBE Labels a few years ago which is the same label as BTS. They're 1 of the biggest/most popular groups and have a HUGE discography. They were originally going to have 17 members, but ended up having 13 members. The group has 3 sub-units which is the hip-hop/rap group unit, vocal unit, and dance unit. all the members are so talented though that they can all dance, the rappers can sing, and even the singers can rap. Hi just to clarify for their sake, Joshua (Joshua Hong / Hong Jisoo) is a full-blooded Korean but was born and raised in America (Los Angeles) until he was around 15. On the other hand, Vernon (Hansol Vernon Chwe / Choi Hansol) is half Korean (father side) and half American, born in New York but moved to Korea when he was about 5. Sorry I just felt the need to clarify since Vernon especially always emphasizes that he feels more Korean than American so we shouldn't take away that part of his identity 🙂

Nah you guys NEED to react to any episode of Going Seventeen, these guys are HILARIOUS no cap, like the lengths they go to just for a skit is unbelievable. Their show is so successful that even non-Carats know about them and actively watch the show. Got a whole fanbase and all, of just Going Seventeen watchers. Another good one is Seventeen x Game Caterers. This one is a show where they guested on Game Caterers. I like recommending this one to newer Carats since the show has a section where they talked about each members one by one so it's quite informative as well. But even in Game Caterers, you can see the impact Going Seventeen has on the wider entertainment industry as a whole with how much the producers and editors kept mentioning it during the show itself.

Ok so here’s the jist of it. Let’s start off with the easy bits. There are 3 units in Seventeen. Dance, vocal, and rap/hiphop. Inside of the dance unit is our dance leader Hoshi or Kwon Soonyoung, Hoshi is also apart of a 3 member group within Seventeen called BSS (BooSeokSoon) along with Seungkwan or Boo Seungkwan and Dk, Dokyeom or Lee Seokmin hence the BooSeokSoon. Anyways back on track, the other members of the dance unit is The8, Seo Myungho, or Xu Minghao, Jun, Moon Junhui or Wen Junhui and Dino or Lee Chan The second group is vocals unit which consists of the vocal leader Woozi or Lee Jihoon, Dk, Dokyeom or Lee Seokmin and Seungkwan or Boo Seungkwan as mentioned earlier, Joshua, Hong Joshua or Hong Jisoo and Jeonghan or Yoon Jeonghan. The last unit is the rap/hiphop unit. This unit consists of their rap leader and leader as a whole Seungcheol or Choi Seungcheol, he is the leader of Seventeen and also the oldest, Vernon or Chwe Hansol, Mingyu or Kim Mingyu and Wonwoo or Jeon Wonwoo. There are also 4-ish foreigners in the group. Why I say 4-ish is because there is Vernon or Hansol which is his Korean name who is a foreigner but “knows more Korean than English” as he has said himself since he was born in New York USA but he moved when he was 5 to Korea. So he still knows English and has an American accent but not as much as our gentleman Joshua, Jisoo is just Joshua’s Korean name. And if you’re wondering “why does Joshua look Korean while Vernon looks so American/white? Well it’s because Joshua’s parents are both Korean meanwhile Vernon is mixed, his dad is Korean and his mom is American. Joshua is from Los Angeles USA and he lived there his whole life until he became a trainee and moved to Korea when he was about 18 so he had quiet a while in the US meaning his English is really good because it’s his first language. Those are the Americans or what we like to call them the rocketz because they have a duet song together called “Rocket”. The 2 other foreigners are Minghao and Jun. Sometimes you’ll hear the members call Minghao Myungho but that’s still the same person. Myungho is just Minghao’s Korean name. Minghao and Jun are Chinese and called Junhao. They have one of the cutest relationships in the group because when Minghao was a trainee he didn’t know any Korean and he felt very lonely as he was the only Chinese foreigner until Jun came along and they quickly became best friends. Their friendship is so wholesome and I definitely recommend you reacting to them. I’m getting a little lazy so I’ll just tell you the age line and where they are in the video. I really loved your video!!! All your reactions reminded me of how I felt discovering them for the first time. SEVENTEEN really is an incredibly robust & solid group. They have 13 members and all of them shine and are really good at what they do. It’s important to note that Woozi, I believe you called him “business casual” dude who had the blonde hair and bleached brows, he is their main producer. He writes and produced I’m gonna say 99.99% of their songs, and the other members regularly contribute not only to the production and lyrics of their music but also their choreography. And that is a whole other video’s worth of content for y’all. SEVENTEEN are highly regarded as one of if not the best and most cohesive dance groups in k-pop. Their choreo is often very intricate and unique, and they make some of the hardest moves look like a walk in the park. So not only are they increíble singers, producers, writers, and choreographers… but also dancers, performers, and overall entertainers. Their variety show is also highly regarded as one of the best idol shows. So many people who don’t even know they are musicians are fans of their show “Going SEVENTEEN”! If I could recommend any SVT MVs for you to check-out first, it would be: Pretty U, Oh My!, CLAP, HOT, Home;Run, Ready To Love & F*ck My Life. Only the last three were not in this killing voice, but they further showcase Seventeen’s diverse discovery and incredible talent. Enjoy slipping into the Diamond life!

I was one of the people who requested this and I’ve been waiting ever since!!! Ahhhh I’m so glad you loved them!! They’re one of my favorite groups!! The guy you said spoke good English is Joshua. He was born and raised in LA, CA! Also the rapper you liked is named Vernon and he is also the other American members. Blonde business guy you guys talked about during the fit check is Woozi, he writes and produces majority of seventeens songs. He’s amazing. The high energy singer you guys loved is in fact named DK!! Dokyeom! He has incredible vocals. This is definitely a group worth getting into. I suggest watching a guide because there are 13 members it took me a bit to learn who everyone was but they are all stand outs in my eyes. Also recommend watching their variety show Going Seventeen because as you guessed it they are HILARIOUS!!!
