Your videos are very good. They would be excellent if you would curb your impulse to use phrases like "pissed off", "jerk", etc., and make dismissive, impertinent comments. You pronunciation of Thyra and August is a tiny bit off.
@TheGirlintheTiara3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback - I appreciate it! I struggled with the German pronunciations in this video, that's for sure. The pronunciation of Thyra I attempted to use comes straight from members of the Danish royal family - that's how they pronounced her name in the documentary, "A Royal Family." They talk about Thyra in episode 6 - it's available here on KZbin. I may not have replicated it exactly as they pronounced it, but that's what I was going for.
@inaleyen27373 жыл бұрын
@@TheGirlintheTiara In the documentary you will hear Count Rosenborg pronounce "Thyra" at 7:44. I recommend that you watch a KZbin video called "How to pronounce the Danish Vowel Y". (It is really rather easy!) It will help you with at least one German umlaut. In German, the first syllable of the name August is stressed. These are minor points. With a bit of help and practice, your pronunciation will soon become flawless. Keep up the good work.
