One of my favorite flies to swing, though I do them with red goose. Interesting way to do the tail and front wings. I use matching slips from opposite sides of the feather for both.

The tail went awry on this one - when I do it again, I'll center it for sure. I love the classic red!

@@shetiesflies замечено за 8 лет что увлекаюсь нахлыстом, что брала рыба только нимфы, стримеры, клинхамер, подёнка. Стримеры более похожие на натурального малька, а делал разных цветов, на них не клюёт. Большую часть ловлю в стоячей воде, водохранилища, карьеры, плотины, котлованы. Я пробовал жуков, пиявок,бабочек, стрекоз и многое другое, но пока результатов нет. У нас беда ещё, браконьеры одолели, бардак!

I'm gonna be the weirdo, and point out the nano perfect edit cut between 4:33 and 4:34 (yes, somewhere within that 1 second). She backs up just a bit to re-wrap so it overlaps properly, but it slips forward and in less than that 1 second, 4 more turns appear! Dunno if that was ninja level editing or just happenstance, but that was slick!

I'm an avid angler and so is my boyfriend (and videographer/editor). We use the flies that make sense for our area - I don't sell flies at the moment :)

Honestly, that would be incredible!! There are strict regulations (for good reason) when it comes to exotic - and even domestic - feathers, but if they're from domesticated pet birds that were obtained legally, not endangered, and harvested humanely (molted, not plucked), then they're ok to possess and I would LOVE to use them for fly inspiration!
