Would I do this before or after I’ve altered the pattern for a forward shoulder? Or does it even matter?

The order of shoulder adjustments don't matter much because one change will affect the other. Measure the shoulder slope after all fitting is complete so you have a guide for the correct shoulder slope for you. Watch the next video for how to determine the degree of shoulder slope for more info.
