What a thrill and astonishing delight to join you on this hike in the "arctic" Scottish highlands.

This is another impressive work of video art, a lovely winter present but also a somber reminder of disappearing places

You're an amazing videographer Alexandra. I love the sound of the wind. I hope one day to visit Cairn Gorm with my daughter like we planned for in May 2020.

I was at the GlenFinnan viaduct just yesterday! I grew up only 10 minutes away from it, and the glen road that goes under it was one of my family's favourite places to go for a walk - back when a lot less people knew about it 😂 loved this video!

What a coincidence, I'm just reading Nan Sheppard's The living mountain. About the Cairngorms. Do you know it? I'm Dutch, for me it's Fernweh and not Heimweh. Very beautiful.
@alexandrareuter3272 жыл бұрын
I have heard of it but have never read it. Would you recommend it? I also get Fernweh for the Scottish mountains (the place we live in the UK doesn't have any mountains unfortunately). 😊
@anneworks2 жыл бұрын
@@alexandrareuter327 yes definitely. I have a paperback edition with an introduction by Robert McFarlane. He also made a short documentary about her and the book that you can find here on KZbin. That helped me appreciating what I was reading. But it doesn't need that.
