Not that Alexandria should have actally done this review differently at all, and I liked her comment that even as a collector's item this is a scam, but I really needed to say that viewing something from a different perspective isn't being fake and it's really wrong to say that it is. Being able to view things from different perspectives is valuable and important, and an intrinsic part of kindness, empathy and fairmindedness. It is not being fake.

The way they lazily stacked the boxes on top of each other knowing it would all fall out. So many companies don't give a fuck anymore about customers and they are going to feel it soon. Make-up and care were amazing for a couple of years. Like between 2007 and 2018, make-up was amazing. But it's getting really boring now with all their weird products and ripoffs, smelly shit and weird colors. I can't even find a regular pink lipstick anymore. The cosmetics sector is probably shrinking. The only reason why the big brands like Dior and Estee Lauder have still increasing market value is because they buy all the other brands.

The item descriptions were listed on back of box ie "The Pouch" (yup, that's it, just a pouch, perhaps to protect those "luxury" bracelets), and the chalky bottle is a "perfumable ceramic". I guess you can soak up the perfume in those Barbie-sized bottles with it. Give me a Hickory Farms gift box instead, please! It was bad enough for $800, I hope you get a good tax write off.

Coming back for comment #2 because this is just so ridiculous. Chanel had a chance to create a PHENOMENAL calendar. Think about it, if it was double the "value" at say $1600-$2000, the entire internet community would be flipping over Chanel, and Chanel would be getting the kind of PR that gets ppl at the turn of the new year, to say "screw it, I'm getting a Chanel bag cuz I've been seeing Chanel everywhere, in a positive light". Especially with lux advent calendar competition so low, this could really have been a standout marketing stunt without actually de-valuing the brand because the whole POINT of advent calendars is getting more value. Throw some basic CC earrrings, a pendant, a perfume, some setting powder, a lipstick, a lip oil, toss in that flip book and an ornament too and limit the production run so they do sell out and get that extra bit of exclusivity
