Hi Alex I would just squirt a little squirt of that perfume tomorrow after the smells get out of your house and the smells get out of your nose a day later I've never heard of the perfume before. I have a problem with perfumes I get nauseous headaches really quickly if they have some scent in it and I have never come across and it's only women's perfume men's cologne I can smell all them all day long I could wear them all day long.

Shiseido is a higher end Asian skincare brand, and their products are great for your skin, lots of good ingredients without lots of extra stuff you don't need. Same for Sulwhasoo. Before I forget, thank you for recording so many videos before your wedding. I'm sure we all would have understood a bit of radio silence. It's very interesting that they're putting added value on the samples. Theoretically, at least here in the UK, if something is a sample and/or marked 'Not for Sale (separately)' then it actually has no individual sale value. I know some places do sell 'miniatures', which is fine, but if they're 'samples' and not for sale separately then the calender only has a value of exactly what they sell it for and no more. If that makes sense. 🖤

some brands sell their sample sizes here in the US, although I'm not sure if they're marked as "samples" or "miniatures". for us the "not for sale separately" usually means that the safety information is not included, so it must be sold as part of a larger set which does include the ingredients (or best buy date or whatever else)

Sort of sample size either way, but was that Bulgari perfume sample or travel size? It looked relatively large compared to the usual samples. Here in the UK the smallest available size is 50 ml, for £140/$165.

@@nerdygoth6905 It was probably a 'deluxe sample', something we don't really see much of here in the UK, but they're still distributed freely but usually to more elite clients rather than us plebs. 😂 That said, I have been sent two designer luxury fragrances recently in 2ml sprayers. Both were free and posted to me - department stores give them out too. If you try to buy them they can be up to £10 or more when they're the 'sale samples' and not the free ones. Fragrances are a crazy business and the margin is OBSCENE in most cases.

Being a frag head, I wasn't expecting so many perfume samples in a single advent calendar that were popular scents (plus the discovery sets and niche houses at that). I was happy to see a delina set but realized really quick that she wouldn't like those at all. Eitherway, was so excited to see Alexandria review them. It's like a cute little crossover of unboxing and frag yt spaces.

The Baccarat Rouge 540 is 1000 percent worth that calendar because that size you received basically paid for a quarter to half your calendar. lol its the most addicting yummy luscious smell I've ever smelled! It's amazing! If you want to try almost an exact dupe, Dossier fragrances has one, and then sol de Janeiro makes a pink body cream that smells just like it! Love your videos!

i had a very fancy lady name my perfume as the baccarat rouge one a while back. she walked by and almost verbatim says ‘i like your perfume it’s baccarat rouge’ and me a target employee that had never heard of that awkwardly chuckled and said ha ha thank you yes and walked away. it was not said $350 perfume. it was ariana grande cloud. so maybe a dupe idk i have not smelled said extremely expensive perfume so i cannot confirm 100%

Makes me want to make a calendar for my daughter next year. I can pick things up all year that I know she likes. I still do stockings for my kids , even though they are over 24! Those stockings are packed to full! Essential oils, flashlites, hand sanitizer, Keychain, personal alarm, candles or wax melts, personal color of makeup, etc. Lol. a person could do 24 days or 30 days before your wedding box! Depending on the expense of a nice box, a few friends could go in on the gift. Wine, gift cards for coffee, dinner, somewhere they frequent, an event! I want to do one for my granddaughter. She's just about 3 so I think it would be a bit much for her to open one door a day! Not so sure my daughter could wait either lol.

That clinique moisturizer is so gentle, I use it on sunburns and it calms my skin, reduces the redness and stops the peeling. Not that it's sunburn season but not likely to cause breakouts. Edit: Yankee candle used to do tiny jars of coffee beans to "cleanse the palate" and I still sniff whatever coffee is in the house when I need a reset. Love advent calendar season!

Sisely black rose WORKS!! I have seborrheic dermatitis which basically means my skin is extremely dry and flaky- like to the point of literal face dandruff and Black Rose makes my skin feel EXTREMELY hydrated and so baby soft! It's really heavy moisture so if you're oily on the chin or something I'd just use it on the dry parts and then the barest amount elsewhere.

Baccarat rouge is stunning. Your nose can go anosmic with this fragrance so because you sprayed all the other perfumes you might not be able to smell it but I promise you .... Try it on another day, ON SKIN, and you will understand the magic as you where it. Even when you can't smell it, other people will be able to.

I don’t know if anyone has commented this yet, but next time you have many perfumes to smell, have a jar of coffee beans with you! Smelling the beans in between each perfume cleans the pallet so you’ll be able to smell everything 😄 it’s like eating a piece of ginger in between pieces of sushi! In my home town a local department store has jars of coffee beans at the perfume section, that’s where I learned it from.

I work in the perfume department and I’ve learned that after smelling about 5-6 different perfumes your brain cannot smell anymore 😂 try coffee beans in between 😊

Potential tip? But keep a little jar of coffee beans for smell cleansing in between scents. It's supposed to help reset! Though I'm not sure how much that helps with like, all the stuff still in the room, but it'll help with smelling in between things

so psyched about the return of advent calendar season! "Ambergris" is a product included in some expensive perfumes made from whale fat. As whale hunting is illegal in most countries it is a very controversial ingredient and I personally, although I do not claim to be "cruelty-free" as it were, I avoid products made from or including ambergris as it is particularly cruel, imo.

Ambergris is bizarrely, actually a waste product from the digestive system of Sperm whales 🐋 They vomit it up and it is usually found washed up on beaches and is, by weight, more valuable than gold.

Lost of companies have fragrances like baccarat though it’s probably the most replicated and places like Alt fragrances use a synthetic ambergris so it’s also less expensive than the real thing

I'm pretty sure no perfume makers actually use real ambergris as it's illegal in several countries including the US (but not France, the UK and Switzerland) there's a synthetic version called ambroxide now, I can't speak for the insanely fancy companies tho (aka the ones who still use real fur, etc 😑) but I'd assume anything labeled ambergris found in perfumes these days is synthetic. Also ambergris isn't harvested from whales as it's essentially a type of poo, but trade of it is banned under the blanket ban on whaling in general.

@@onerva. yeah the expensive perfumes use it like I said in my post. I think it’s a little “Billy went the the farm” kind of feel good thinking to imagine that ambergris is actually harvested harmlessly from beaches when it’s cheaper and faster to hunt and kill whales for it. That’s kinda the whole thing with the whales. And the laws and all. So it’s pretty easy to avoid but also it would be pretty easy for the French perfume companies not to use it and actually they still do and it is real unfortunately even though it doesn’t have to be. :)

Yes, the Baccarat Rouge 540 smells amazing! The first time I smelled it I didn’t smell much of anything but later I kept smelling the most magnificent scent and it was the perfume. It took me a couple hours but after my nose got adjusted I loved it. There is a fantastic dupe from Dossier called Ambery Saffron that is amazing. I highly recommend it. It’s around $50 for a 50ml. I’ve probably bought four bottles of it now. It’s a very unique scent so it’s hard to describe but it’s definitely far from a rose scent. Lol
