As a drummer for over 50 years, his drumming is not that good it's the same doubles and triplets on the bass drums. Basically the same thing over and over on every song. It's boring to hear.

I would like to disagree. Alex Bent's drumming is extremely unpredictable and unique. Yeah, he incorporates a lot of Portnoy fills, doubles and triplets on the bass drum, etc. as does almost every single heavy metal drummer. But, as a drummer, I've always recognized just how smooth, clean, and fluid his playing is. On top of that, he makes it all look too easy. His drumming is incredibly hard, as shown on songs such as Catastrophist, The Sin and The Sentence, and In the Court of the Dragon. I know not everyone will agree with me, but after intently listening to Alex's drumming, how complex and unpredictable it can be, I always find that his drumming is always leaving me surprised and eager for what else he's gonna play next. Definitely one of my favorite drummers. @@mikeahl5123
