We were diagnosed with secondary unexplained infertility as well. We started trying when our daughter was 3.5.. After 2 years, we did go on to conceive naturally, but unfortunately, it ended in a loss. Over the next 8 months, we suffered 2 more losses. But then we finally did conceive again with a successful pregnancy, and she was actually born two days before Arkham. Our girls are 6 years apart, and it actually ended up being perfect for our family. Much love to your family during this journey ❤

Hi, Med Student over here! Just wanted to say it is actually recommended to take your prenatal vitamins (specially folic acid) BEFORE getting pregnant, ideally once you have planned to start trying. If pregnancy is unplanned they should be started ASAP. The reason for this is because folic acid prevents neural tube defects (malformations in the baby’s brain which can be very serious but easily preventable like this!). This proccess occurs during the first stages of development (in weeks 3-5), while women realise they are pregnant by at least week 4-5, when they first notice a lack of period. Hope this helps anyone trying to conceive! Sending all the baby dust. And thanks for sharing your journey, it is very educational for anyone on the health care field to see things from the patient’s perspective and it also raises awareness about fertility and loss, which are not talked about enough.

My son is just a week or so older than Arkie. I felt this pressure for a certain age gap that I had in my mind. My daughter was born this past November - just over 2.5 years after my son. Sometimes I am absolutely drowning with the different types of needs from both kids. I have since seen a lot of people rave about an age gap around 4 years and greater. No matter what, siblings have a special connection that will grow and change over the years 🤍 I have a brother 16 months older than me, and one 7 years older than me. Now that we are all adults with our own babies we are all equally close! Sending you so much love and positivity on this journey. You and Dan are incredible parents!

A lot of people don’t have success the first transfer. I had a perfect embryo and it failed. My second transfer worked and he’s currently 7 weeks. Good luck ❤️

Hey girl hey. Love watching your videos. I miscarried in Jan and have been struggling with the motivation to start trying again. My doctor asked if we wanted to try IVF and I am so nervous. Part of me wants to just naturally keep trying but I'm nervous I am wasting time.. It is a struggle!

Harmony, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. There are no words that will ever help ease the pain, but I feel for you and am here for you. IVF is not an easy road, so if it's something you are not interesting or confident in trying yet, I would say stick to your gut! Doctor's are great for learning and advice, but at the end of the day it should be your decision and whatever you're comfortable with for your body (especially in this scenario)

Getting pregnant can be so exhausting but if you keep trying it will workout but Alex you're very lucky you have a kid already there's people who don't even have kid yet and they been trying for years or can't have kid!!! Thanks

This is a very different example. But I would never tell someone waiting to get a new job or buy a house to “relax, and it will happen” or “don’t think about it, stop trying”. So why do people think it’s okay to tell people that are TTC or have infertility to “stop trying and it will happen” it makes my blood boil. I have vaginismus which makes sex or any penetration almost impossible. So I am under the care of a pelvic physio to help but it’s a very very long and challenging process. I also have endometriosis, I’ve had two surgeries in 11 months and struggle with irregular cycles & ovulation. We are seeing a FS in a few weeks and people aware of our situation still tell us to “relax, it will happen when it happens!”, “just get drunk” etc. it’s so inappropriate! 😖

One of my close friends is going through IVF. I don't ever want to bother her or ask too many questions. She is supposed to get results on her embryos this week. I want to text her and ask her about it but I don't want to pry. I often check in on her, but I feel bad asking because I feel like it's high key none of my business. Would she talk to me about it if she wanted me to know? Would it be rude or come across as caring since I remembered to ask her about it? I'm so hopeful for her and can't wait for her to have the baby she so deserves...

I think the best thing that you can do in this situation is to send a text saying "thinking about you and i'm always here for you and love you!" That way she knows she's loved and supported and she can make the decision if whether or not she wants to share with you :)
