@@miller6448Hello, it's been 2 weeks but if you see this, it still applies :) Retinol can be irritating for most people, so you should start slow taking a break of one or two days between application. Some people need even more time to let their skin adjust, so it might be your case. If you find it irritating still after a couple weeks and you want to stop using it, there's also a non-irritating (though less effective) plant-derived alternative: bakuchiol. And if you don't even like bakuchiol, that's okay too! After all, the most important part is cleansing, moisturizing and wearing sunscreen everyday. Hope this helped!

I would take it a step further and go with stronger topical retinoids like tretinoin or tazarotene. That's where the magic happens.

I kid you not tho, she looks amazing for her age. She looks younger than most people my age lol Now, I'm in my last year of my 20s and I'm trying to just be healthier in every aspect I can. The thing with the sunlight Some say to get sunlight to improve circadian rhythm,vitamin d while others say to wear suncreen to prevent sun damage. Now there are some other people who say to get sunlight applying sunscreen. But the prob here is sunscreen prevents uvb rays which is responsible for vitamin D production in body In a total dilemma here
@SunSunSunn10 ай бұрын
you don't really need the sun for vitamin d. all you need is a light source to activate the vitamin d that's produced in the body. the sun is much more effective at providing this light source but since we want to minimize the amount of sunlight we are exposed to, we can just spend longer indoors with artificial lights.
@MH-vm5hb10 ай бұрын
Vitamin D is important. You can get it even on cloudy days. And you don’t need to be in the sun for so long to get enough vitamin D - I heard 15 minutes was enough. After getting that vitamin D, you can apply sunscreen. Now, if it is really sunny with high UV index like 5 or 6+, you can still spend a short while in the sun, but try to use sunscreen as soon as possible. Obviously double check what I’ve said here, but in essence, take the middle path and practice moderation.
@tanzimhuq76810 ай бұрын
In my opinion, face and neck takes the highest priority when it comes to sunscreen. You can also get sunlight by applying sunscreen to those parts while leaving the rest of your body without it.
@campersruincod613410 ай бұрын
Just take vitamin D supplements. That way you can have flawless skin and still be healthy.

Morning time is best to get some vitamin d from the sun without damaging your skin as the intensity of UV rays are pretty low during that time.

I used accutane for acne scars and under the skin acne. I was so afraid at first because i heard so many bad things about it. But there were no products that could help. My dermatologist gave it to me for a year, and she was clear that it wasn't for life. She also took blood tests every 3 months to check my liver. If you have a good doctor it shouldn't be a problem. But yes, my skin, lips, and inside my nose was so freakin dry. But it goes away after a while. Besides that, there were no other side effects. It was so worth it. But make sure you have a good doctor who is following you regularly. Oh, and NO multivitamin with vitamin A in it. Accutane is pure vitamin A so you don't want to overdose.
@mt7009210 ай бұрын
I think Accutane itself causes the scarring, with the idea that it removes the overall acne and future acne. Just replaces one issue with another. At least for me. Made my skin better but a disappoint for me overall, based on expectations.

If you’re in your teens or early 20s tbh you do not need to waste money on exfoliants. They cause more harm than good. Less is more. The biggest thing you should take from this video is wearing sunscreen every day. All this “advanced” skincare in the latter half of the video is not necessary and you should really not be asking for prescription accutane unless you truly need something like that because oral medications can cause real problems if used improperly. Topical retinoids are a better way to go for daily use, look into Adapalene to start. I feel like Alex is like just now discovering skincare and he’s excited but y’all don’t need to do most of this 💀💀💀

yes, retinol is the form of vitamin A we need as humans for things like skin health. It's in animal foods only so sorry vegans that's one of the reasons your skin is aging rapidly. The plant version (beta carotene like in carrots) is only a precursor and you simply can't get the required vitamin A eating veggies only because of the very poor conversion (4 percent if I remember correctly). So eat your eggs people for healthier skin!

However, acne only disappears as long as you use it, it can take a while before you breakout again, but there's always the possibility. My acne keeps returning but I decided to stop taking Isotretinoin before I got one of those nasty side effects, fortunately it's not as bad as it used to be, nowadays it is somewhat average acne
