well its the default death animation of a ghost, its pretty damn hard to make custom death animations in 2d games. you really think someone can just explode from being hit with one bullet? same way for marines, they have the same death animation even if they were burned, by a firebat or stabbed by a zealot

lolwut? Stukov being infested was first mentioned in an offical SC1 downloadable mission map called 'deception'. Later in the Nintendo 64 port, there was even an exclusive campaign mission where you temporarily restore Stukov to human, an event that was mentioned in HotS Stukov's poke quotes. Both of these are far earlier than SC2, so wth are you blaming SC2 for?

He's not actually infested though. He's a Xel'naga pretending to be an Infested Terran pretending to be a normal Terran. That's not even a SC2 retcon either. Back in the Brood War secret mission, he made it clear he's not a Terran and is way older than the Zerg and Protoss. And his voice was distorted even way beyond his "infested" voice (to the point where Zeratul didnt recognize who he was speaking to)

A lot of marines were generally convicts or other anti social bits of society that have undergone extensive conditioning, drugs, and straight up neural surgery in an attempt to make them easier to control, so mentally they come up a bit short. There are still plenty of patriots and other such soldiers that join, but lets be honest, you don't really want your best and brightest on the front lines of this war because anyone who has even a remote sense of intelligence would take one look at the protoss and the zerg and choose a new career.

I always just assumed that marines in SC were just funny. In several missions (including a Protoss one where a marine actually tried to talk to the protoss), marines are the comic relief.

yeah they're garbage well welcome to the 'hivemind' art of the modern era. AOE4, CIV6, SC2, D3. List goes on and on. it's a mixture of chinese and leftist art coming out of university it's uninspired and is all exactly the same, no free thought goes into modern art. especially video games

protoss campaign happens before terran campaign, brood war goes Protoss -> Terran -> Zerg
