As a 60 yr old slicer, I have tried stepping my right foot back like you showed, but have never turned my lead shoulder like you. Well took that idea out today and was shocked. Added 20-30 yds that were straight, with a few baby draws. Thanks for the suggestion.

Alex, the last tidbit was what I needed to hear. I have worked all season on drawing the ball slightly. But lost the ability to consistently hit a straight ball. I can't wait to try the middle set up, and then the draw. Thanks!
@touristguy875 күн бұрын
the odds of hitting the ball straight are roughly 1 deg out of 90, 45 deg to either side giving you credit for that

It's amazing to me how we as golfers can sometimes have what should be the obvious escape us. Congrats, Alex, you three balls indicating the arc that shows cause and effect with respect to ball position is irrefutable. For the life of me, I could not figure out why I was hitting pull slices when I was sure I was coming from the inside. Now I know :)

Alex, great video, was never certain what to do with my lead shoulder at address, thanks to you now I do. The +6 inches and address of the toe I had heard of before, but didn’t know why 😆 but thanks to your explanation I do 👍 here’s to dropping 5-6 shots next season and not loosing as many golf balls OB 😅😂 thanks again a game changer video for me 🙏🏻

I have been watching your lessons for a very long time. Alex this is the best I have seen. Simple and very effective. When will there be the same on iron play and wedges? Greetings from Thailand

Hi Alex, your videos have been a great help to me as high handicapper. One issue I'm struggling with is how to shift weight in my stance from backswing to finish. I'm a senior so if you could do something with that in mind it would be great! Thanks 👍

Brilliant video, you're breakdown is fantastic. I'd love a video to add better iron contact on the longer irons , ie 5,4 irons 🎉

That was a great video, thank you. I still have a problem keeping my balance when I swing. It may be obvious to most, but for me it's an ongoing flaw I haven't been able to correct. Do have any drills or thoughts to help? Just to be clear, I usually find myself falling forward (toward the ball) as I swing.

Alex, I recently had a heart attack and lost my co-ordination on how to swing a golf club. What exercises would you recommend I focus on to regain my swing?
@Dan-hn1lxАй бұрын
I like it slightly back and the heel lining up with the ball by the time my swing is closing its near the middle all preference and set up....

I started playing golf in April of 2024 so still fresh. I’ve only played 18 holes once as I typically just do 9 since it’s easier to be gone 1.5-2 hours than 3-5 🤣. When people say they “break 100” or 90 or 80, etc. are we saying from ANY tee or as an adult male does it only count from the tips? I usually play whites as a newbie, but was curious if there was a consensus on this. If I said “I broke 90 last week” does “it count” if it’s from the whites?

Does this applies also for irons ? The head position I mean

Hey Alex! I used to have a 4 wood that was my favorite club to hit. Im not saying I would pure it every time, but I hit it well. It broke by complete accident and now I’m stuck with my driver. But with my driver, I tend to somehow chunk or hit under the ball. But I tee my ball down too low already and I have no clue what to do. Some of these tips have helped, but is there a video or can you make a video on how to fix driver chunks and hitting under the ball? Anyways, great video as always and hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving if you do celebrate Thanksgiving!

Ihave great difficulty hitting my fairway wood versus doing it very well with a hybrid club with the same loft. Part of it is in my head obviously but part is physical. Any suggestions

Hi Alex. Will these points help with not being able to get the ball up, but when I do, it hooks drastically. Or should I say, power draw.

Great vid. As far as struggles go, I live in Western Pennsylvania and it’s hilly. Flat lies rarely occur. How about body, ball position, club path vid on different lies. Uphill, downhill, side hill. Thx
@EMCEEPRISMАй бұрын
Uphill, your club face is going want to close faster...Hook. Downhill it's going want to stay open. Slice or push. Downhill you want to aim a little left. Uphill a little right. I try to play the ball a little back in my stance to promote better contact.

You wanna-be golf instructors just don't get the fact that there is no right or wrong in golf other than in the rules. Your shots are either "in play" or not. Plain and simple. You can't change the world just by opening your mouth and talking.
@DonnyBerger23 күн бұрын
IF I ADDRESSED THE BALL AT THE TOE I WOULDNT EVEN MAKE CONTACT! I use to hit all my drives off the toe until I started addressing the ball at the heel of the club. Like Wesley Bryant , Now I hit the middle of the face more often than not!!!!!
