First drive I hit with the rogue on trackman: 109mph, 258m carry, 1850 rpm, 1.52 smash factor. 4th: 114.3 mph, 270.9m carry, 2298rpm, 1.49 smash factor 10th: 119.7mph, 279.9 carry, 2107rpm, 1.47. The thing just goes.

Alex I put the 14g weight forward, tee her higher and boom, much lower spin, loft down to 8* and can get some nice high fades. Great club even when you miss it high on the face

Would love to see GCQuad eventually (yes, I'm aware of the $$$) come into play to measure strike. Everyone knows how hard you can hit the ball, mate, but strike is always king for these drivers, so it'd give some depth on why some drivers aren't going as far on some days.

Dude you're my favorite reviewer of clubs!! I was fitted into the epic and I love it. A few weeks back I cracked the face. The store that sent the head back let me borrow a rogue sz as a loaner. I loved the rogue sz. When my head came in I got on their launch monitor and did a head to head. My shaft just works better with the epic head. Identical ball speed, but better spin (and distance) with the epic... I will admit, the Rogue looks better at address.

Alex you are right about one aspect of doing these tests Myself and 4 other friends did same test. Using all 4 drivers epic sub. Plain eplc and both new Calloways Maybe a tiny bit more forgiving On new stuff. Zero in distance. In fact old sub Still longer for 3 of five guys There was strangely of the plain roque we had 4 different heads and one was oddly hotter face than the rest My own sub zero is hotter as well. Not even Calloway would dare to say there is much if any distance gain just forgiveness. .???

Can't wait for your reviews. Both entertaining and informative. One question though, are you testing with a stock standard or after market shaft? Also, seeing that not even Rory swings at 127mph, it might be an idea to have side by side reviews with maybe a 10 handicapper with a swing speed like most mere mortals.

Much better with pro tracer. How good was that ball flight for the monster drive on the course. When you play proper rounds is that how hard you hit it or do you ease off a little?

Format looks good and enjoy seeing the hits on an actual course verse just the sim with numbers. I have hit both Epic and Rogue and love the feel of impact and sound of Rogue more. Personally, I am a Taylor Made fan and own the M1 2017 but if getting a new driver, it might be Rogue.

Given the choice, would you stick with the EPIC with those old but great numbers or would you sacrifice distance for Rogue (knowing you’re “biased” with the new found knowledge now?)

TBH, it seems like one is not longer than the other. That maybe Rogue is just bigger and more forgiving. Judging by your experience, the bigger appearance might just inspire more confidence, but confidence over the shot is worth a ton.

Hi, I am looking at buying from your website but I need to know the following. I am a high handicapper with a fade with the driver ending up off the fairway more often than not. Should I get the Rogue draw to assist with this and also how do I know what loft/flex I should go for?

Hi Steve, The Draw model should help your fade, but I would recommend trying this out first as different things can affect the performance of the driver e.g. something as simple as you not liking the look of it at address. However, the driver is fantastic and I would be surprised if it didn't assist you!

Do a head to head with the Rouge sub zero and epic sub zero, I tested them both with a view to maybe going to Rogue from epic and they were both pretty much the same but the rogue seemed slightly more fade biased. I had a fitting when the epic first came out and the standard head is definitely a bit spinny
