Kobayashi ended up having a pretty good career. He later won the jr. featherweight title and fought guys like Wilfredo Gomez and Eusebio Pedroza. A pretty good fighter that was in a little deep here.

Kudos to Kobayashi for putting up a fight. Arguello was so complete a fighter.

Idk man, we all say that, but he was very "Straight-up" with very little upper lateral movement. He tended to get tagged a LOT. I think he was a very complete OFFENSIVE fighter, and he had good defensive ways (but not a good overall defense) like parrying punches, feinting to discourage punching, and such. His offense was mostly his best defense.

アルゲリョ、パンチの軌道・伸び・角度全て凄すぎ。一発一発のジャブすら凶器のような破壊力。良くしなる鞭の先にハンマーを装着したようなパンチ。この手のタイプの強打者は、恐らく日本でお目にかかる最初で最後の選手。似たようなパンチャーは、カルロス・サラテ位かな。

Kobayashi was a fine fighter but I suspect anyone sitting ringside who bet him to win had most likely deduced within the first 40 seconds of Round 1 their money was lost.
