I agree. I would never have a baby shower and have my friends pay out of pocket for OVER TWENTY people’s goody bags/gift. That’s not how it works. You don’t ask/volunteer people to pay for decorations and accommodations at your event, let them pay out of pocket, and be picky with what they chose. She offered money and she shouldn’t have. She should have given it to you because it’s her event.

I price match every single lil piece of food I can at the grocery, AND use coupons on top of that. theres this 1 cashier that always gotta give me and others attitude. But this one time I was on my last straw and I was 9 months pregnant like due any day... and the cashier was giving me attitude AGAIN .. im talking about literally moaning and groaning, and muttering subliminals under his breath. I predicted that so I secretly recorded him and didn't say anything. BUT I pulled a Karen, spoke to the manager , owner, got everyone i knew to post a bad review and call out his name on Google, sent the video to headoffice and he got fired. yes. I had the time !!!. don't play with me!

Then 2 days postpartum I found out I lost my mom in the most horrific way. I’ve been losing my mind for the last 2 days since it happened and needed something to keep me from thinking about it all. No matter what, I always have bad luck with cashiers, with servers, at the coffeeshop, with so many situations where I have to interact with people, I always try to b so nice to avoid a situation. But hearing this storytime makes me feel at ease in a way. Like the feelings that u talk about is exactly how I feel. I feel like this just like validated my feelings, like its not just me. Sometimes I stress out and I'm like why can't I just simply shop or do this or that, without drama. Why do I have badluck with such simple things, or people thinking they can run all over me actn some type of way. N then going over the scenarios in my head b4, and even after, of what I coulda shouldve done or said. It's so true what u said about feeling traumatized twice bcuz of going thru things in ur head. My mom has alot of siblings back in Guatemala and I remember growing up her and my grandma would go around Christmas time to get a lot of things for the family and even children and other families who didn’t have much and I remember some employees at certain stores being rude to them but my mom and grandma didn’t care they knew people would be happy getting something for Christmas 😊
