Crisis is Alexisonfire's third studio album, and the follow-up to Watch Out!. The album was released on August 22, 2006. The album debuted at #1 on the Canadian Album Charts, selling over 20,000 copies in its first week. Crisis was certified Platinum in Canada in May 2007. It was also the first Alexisonfire album to feature a title track and first album featuring drummer Jordan Hastings.

Hailing from St. Catharines, Alexisonfire rose up out of the Southern Ontario underground in late 2001, to become one of the most successful indie bands in Canada. The band’s success also reached far beyond Canada’s borders. AOF released four hugely successful studio albums, Alexisonfire (2002), Watch Out (2004), Crisis (2006), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals (2009). Crisis debuted at #1 on the Top 200 Soundscan chart (Canada), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals debuted at #2, and charted at #9 on the US Billboard Independent Album chart. Watch Out helped earn the band New Group of the Year at the 2004 JUNO Awards. Saw these guys live in the early 2000's at the legion in Collingwood, Ontario. Must of been like 20 people there and no one really knew who they were. That year I went to warped tour in Barrie, Ontario and they played. They handed out so many promotional cd's that at the end of the day the ground was covered in black and purple alexisonfire cd's. Soon after they blew up. I'll never forget that show at the legion though.
