I was born in 1987 and I've always felt that the best ten years for country music was 85-95. I've asked myself if I feel that way because its what I was raised on.. hearing songs like this let me know that its definitely not just cuz I grew up listening to it.
@Mark27560424 жыл бұрын
Agreed with your 1985-1995 time frame but this song was from 1997.
@RepoManInIndy4 жыл бұрын
@@Mark2756042 I got curious and checked it online and learned it was released in 1995. I know country music but won't pretend I know the release date for most songs, even my favorites. If i anticipated the release I may know approximately when but not usually. They put out good stuff still today and always have but it has changed a lot. Most country artists now aren't even what I'd call country but luckily the traditional stuff seems to be making a comeback though. Like Cody Jinks..

Let me just play something here if I'm I might please it has been some years ago of course let me just say this first I know a lot of country artists I've met them personally and just briefly and 1997 I have the honor to meet mr. White Hayes and I have nothing but the very highest respect for this man damn good man with a real voice and songs that are real life I've lived it it'll do some of that memories but let me just how it is a lot of times I say a boy's from the past how true it is for me and so blessed in my life to me and to know so many beautiful ladies good ladies in every way but I have made many mistakes that this day I seriously regret so this is one of these days I've lived this very song personally as many other songs I could mention but this one I've said here right now this evening listen to it at least four times over constantius what happened to me my fault I didn't say anything when I should have my heart's broken and it will probably stay broken no one to blame but myself

Always been confused by the story of this song. Did she commit suicide? Was that what he meant when he said "from a bridge I watched our dreams going down the drain"? Or did she just leave town? In which case I don't get what the point of the bridge metaphor was.
@markrobertsministries4 жыл бұрын
Just left town. Bridge meant nothing.Just where he was

I think the bridge in the video stands for the bridge between two hearts. She is deciding whether to burn it down or let it be I believe

She was pregnant for another guy, so she was metaphorically crossing that bridge that was her relationship with Wade and moving on. She couldn’t be with Wade knowing she was carrying someone else’s baby.
