He beat stage 4 cancer!!! He was in my town doing a concert and I didnt see the concert, but I got to meet him and he was literally the nicest guy and quite a tall drink of water! WAYYY better looking with age. Beautiful man inside and out.

I saw him recently. I had my picture taken with him. I’m glad he told his story about him beating cancer. My husband passed away 15 months ago from cancer. His testimony really hit home with me. Your always in my prayers Wade.

This was back when I first started listening to country music. Loved that time period. Eventually though, with the way it has changed, I stopped listening. But I revisit these songs from time to time and the memories they hold for me.

Agreed. Today's country pales in comparison to songs like this. Today's country isn't even country in my opinion; it's nothing but pop/r&b with a slight twang and occasional steel guitar.

I have loved him since day one. I met him at Fanfair in Nashville. He was so so sweet and MAN is he a hunk! I met his parents and they were just as sweet. This is one of my favorite songs. Thank God for the healing.
