I can now confirm after some research that the maximum you can get on fractured winter glass is +5 conjuration mastery, but for this you need Greater Affix and 3 crit rolls on it. The next best you can get is +4 which comes from a greater affix and one crit roll. On uniques the skill bonus is rounded down and on legendaries it is rounded up. Also on unique the bonus applies to the base score before the greater affix is applied.

This is my first season playing sorc, i choose frozen orb kinda at randon and stuck with it when i dropped a sacred unique FWG early from the iron wolves seasonal content and loved it. I rocked that 1 for a while until i found a 925 with perfect roll not GA though. Fractued winter glass is one of my favorite peices of gear in the game its a super fun build

You can drop some points in resistance here, if you have enough int. for then 2 nodes into not phys dmg. Its a few places in this paragon where you can choose int over dex etc, to get there.

Nice build! I have a tip to improve your DMG. You can use the tempering of the Rogue to get Vulnerable Dmg or Critical Dmg on your sorc gear. You can replace you close dmg ennemies.

Yeah I did do Crit dmg on my weapon and focus from rogue but for the neck I didnt have the rogue at the time ! The neck needs to be devouring blaze in this build for sure though!

Like someone else said you want multiple buckets to your base dmg multipliers while also maxing out legendary nodes. For instance, frigid fate or icefall requires 300% cold dmg to max it out. After covering all of these boxes i would look into more vuln ontop of crit dmg. Vuln is still very very important. It applies/multiplies after the base dmg multpliers. Then crit dmg kicks in. Or vice versa. Hopefully this helps ppl. Also avoid stacking to much stuff into 1 bucket. Like stunned dmg or damage to burning targets. You want these buckets but you dont want 200% of it ya know. Usually having high vuln mixed with crit dmg is good but honestly go for pure vuln after you cover all of the other buckets from the paragon board/gear.

@@Maddog4o2 depends if you're running bleed bash or regular bash. Bleed bash would want a decent amount of vuln for the hemorrhage legendary node. A multiplier for bleed damage. Having a good amount of vuln is key to alot of builds to be fair. I would say anything below 100% is low.

I took off tal’s and started running ret, storm swell, frozen orbit, conceited and shredding. Full vulnerable build. Killing 89 pit boss in one stagger. Not great but for sure the MOST single target I was able to pump out. 102 pit high. Give it a try! Accelerating I feel was less single target when running 2 AS rings. Going to try starless sky on Monday though!!

@@paulhart5185 you should already be at 90 percent crit from your other slots. The extra 15x multi cdr and Lucky hit out weigh any additive stats. Cdr is too important. Getting more ice blades out. Higher Lucky hit and cdr I see 20 stacks of conj mastery often

Build planner on max roll have items you can select on your char and then you can put (it its not unique) ranks of skills on them. So if you have unique winterglass and wondering when conjuration mastery goes up (I play Fire bolt and Frozen orb sorc) check it out, but just so you know, if you have a unique with rank range between 1-2 and you got a 1, you're not losing out anything. Assuming you max it out and crit, you'll have same end result. For defensive I personally use vyr mastery capstone and now especially with 1.4.3 patch where they buffed aspect that plays around this capstone, it's godly. If you want more defensive, I'd use that. Flame shield is not something you want for frozen orb imo, this build doesn't have the steam to push pit bosses. Im not sure if this build is playable without talrasha and starless sky rings tbh xD They are sort off a must for a sorc to perform.

I have 2 sorcs with 2 setups, started with FB this season to gear up for Fbolt (as it's really extremely gear dependent) But seeing now after they fixed some vulnerable scaling, FB can do a 101 pit and quite frankly, that's all I care about. We dont have pit mechanics like Diablo 3 GR had, where if you run a higher lvl, you can upgrade your gems with higher cap. Pushing just for the sake of it, where not even your guildies or bnet friends can see how far you can go, that's a big flaw in this system imo

Honestly his damage is pretty good. I’m seeing a random 12,332,871 damage at 2:00. Frozen Orbs can only push T115 max. Haven’t seen anybody pushed higher. I’m seeing all these people giving advice on damage bucket and all. Post your Pit clear so we can see. Btw the Pit T115 clear all use Lurkin’s build. He Tempered everything into Damage to Close. Why would someone recommend damage to Distant? If it’s better then again post your Pit clear Video so we all can learn!

Is damage to close better than damage to frozen? I run damage to frozen in every gear I can temper into and I hit like 1m to 2m per ball. Crit chance is 51% and crit damage is 1,800%. Will it be better to transition to damage to close?

The problem with Frozen Orb is you need the best gear to make it work. And it's super glass cannon. I've been playing the build since the launch of the season and I cannot switch off Frozen Orb restores mana, because I would run out of mana. I don't have perma-Flameshield yet (though I'm close), so I have to spec into damage mitigation a little more. I basically have to run a less glass cannon version. I spec'd really heavily into crit damage and vulnerable damage. I still need a source with a GA cooldown reduction (I bricked THREE SOURCES with that affix and I haven't found another since). Overall the build is fun and I think your build works for you, but I just CANNOT go full glass cannon. But then I'm only looking to push to Pit Tier 100 with the build and defeat all the Tormented bosses (except Lilith - her health pool is SO big). And I STILL haven't seen a version of the build that does good boss damage. I'm trying to build Frozen Orb to do more boss damage. Trying to hot 1000% crit damage and around 800% Vulnerable damage. Also I run Esu's Ferocity and Ancient Flame AND my crit strikes increase my speed. Attack speed (for my build) is king. But everything is so gear dependent. Nice build. Good luck getting to Pit 110.

First off thank you for the long comment and sorry to hear about your GA focus getting bricked. For Lilith all the terminator bosses in the midseason patch are getting a 30% HP reduction. I think with the midseason patch the ring of the starless skies and tell Russ might make a comeback to my build we shall see!

I beat Lilith and all Uber bosses and did T100 pit no problem. My gears are not maxed out. Flame Shield not up 100% of the time. There’s always that 1-2 seconds delay so you gotta teleport out and get back in when Flame Shield is ready. I find that works for me. If I just stand there I would die instantly. It’s a lot of work playing this build. I still get random 1 shot here and there because Flame Shield isn’t always ready.

I have a GA on conjuration mastery the fractured winterglass with 2x masterwork 25% and I think conjuration mastery is capped at 4. It went to 4 after the first 25% boost at lvl 4 but was still +4 at lvl 12 after another +25% boost and all the +5% other levels - so should have been atleast +5.

@@KelfkaGaming I would say +7 would be a pipe dream. I started on a normal one with +2 conjuration mastery. I now have one with conjuration mastery GA, so started on 3. I made sure I at least got the first 25% master work roll on that affix but then I lucked out on the next 2x 25% rolls going to other affixes. So after all 12 upgrades and hitting it once with a major, I got it to go from 3 to 4. Based on that I think 5 is the goal and 6 is a literal dream. I just can't see though how another 2 x 25% rolls could get me from a 4 to a 6. After a lot of time and perseverence I think I will try to re-roll for +5 conjuration mastery, which I hope is possible. 6 feels unattainable at this point. There are a lot of pros and cons to ring choices too - BYO, starless skies, Tal Rashas. I have a BYO for attack speed and I think you have to invest and compromise if you want flame shield immortality, so I have a Tal Rashas with a cooldown reduction GA. I also feel that with 2 BYO rings with high attack speed, it was a bit like riding a bike in top gear - peddling fast but not going very far. Tal Rashas seemed to add punch to attacks, even though I was making fewer of them. I will probably keep trying to go back and forth on things as I continue to tinker, but immortality is very hard to give up. I will keep re-rolling to min-max and define the final boundaries for this build. Beyond that, I am curious as to what might be possible with good old Blizzard, given we now have the capacity to get to maybe +5 on 3 amulet slots for multiple passives such as glass cannon, devouring blaze, hoarfrost, permafrost, icy touch etc. I don't seem to see anyone talking about this and a lot of people even seem to be unaware. Ideally I would love a build that could smash pit and tormented bosses fast.

My friend. Two mistakes in paragon board. One being huge, second can be debated. Burning instinct board. It doesn't look like you have damage to elites at all, instead you keep on adding into damage buckets you currently have (burning DMG from glyph, then nodes - get rid of nodes, search for a way to incorporate at least one damage to elites from burning instinct board or ceaseless conduit board, in general minimize the +7% dmg or whatever per 5 dex etc (crit/vuln DMG being exception don't touch that) in order to look for a NEW DMG bucket - elites. It's always better to have additional damage bucket at the cost of 20-30% of what you already have a lot of (again don't touch crit/vuln DMG) I was reviewing my board yesterday and realized I'm at 0% DMG to elites. Now I'm at 96% and yes the damage practically doubled. Also a general note not aimed at you specifically but more to whoever reads it. - don't just blindy copy builds from streamers or sites, use your own head a lil ;) Second mistake that you might debate here Conjurer glyph in the mix. I'm not using the glyph that adds 20% to your conjurations duration as it's 1.2 second more for blades and spear and 2 seconds for hydra. On top of that it's rng based. And additional 1.2 second for rng that has to proc doesn't appeal to me at all. You gameplay showed like 12 stacks top, but without it you can easily get 10-11 too, again. It's rng. I'm just no fan of basing your DMG on that. If damage numbers shown on the left are with this exact setup then you're missing out on a lot of damage my guy. I've got worse gear than you and your top number during the run started with a 5, while I'm getting 7-8 Lack of starless skies is concerning as it's much better than that 10%x / 30%x on your legendary ring, not only because its getting you 40%x more dmg, but because starless skies adds another unique damage bucket - core damage. Sadly the gameplay covered all of your damage buckets so I can't be sure if what I'm saying is right here. Would like to see a screenshot of your buckets tho :) Cheers Edit. I'd also look into close DMG, knowing how it works aka you have to be right in the monsters face to work vs distant - half a feet away, plus damqge distant has higher rolls when tempering than close, I went for distant. Especially when you say that your flame shield doesn't have a 100% uptime , the moment it's down you leave yourself 0 time to dodge being right in front of a mob.

@@NoobMasterSSS my build is so far away from being complete it's ridiculous. Starless skies I just found 2 days ago, Missing on one aspect as I'm still using a staff unable to find a 2ga one at that, let alone focus wand. So yeah.. Wand and focus is still needed haha. Then my chest has no ga flame shield on it, it's far far far from done (no flame shield affix on the chest in fact lmao but 12/12) :) But it jumpstarted my pit from full stopping at 79 to making it farmable within minutes, to now struggling with 95.
