Actually he watched it 37 times, and the first fifteen minutes of both sequels. HOwever, you are correct, he doesn't know Troy's character well enough based on that statmement.
@revival93135 жыл бұрын
@@poisonedyoyo I mean, Troy was late for the first audition and the final audition in the first movie. I haven't watched the movie in years and when Ricky came running in late, I automatically assumed they were trying to recreate the moment from the movie. Maybe this character only says he watched it 37 times when he's actually never seen it. He only lied because he thinks he needs to stick to the status quo, which involves being a theater person and being up to date on all musicals. He looked up the wikipedia page for the movie, but unfortunately someone edited the page to give a false summary that's half Glee and half Twilight New Moon.

@@Chloe-fb5on I really hated the latter half of the second season, except Joshua Bassett singing Let you Go 😭 But the rest of it kinda sucked cuz first of all they broke up nini and ricky for no legit reason. After Ricky said that he was never gonna let her go again last season, he let her go so easily this season. In fact, I think the only reason they had them break up was to write her off the show since Olivia Rodrigo has become a huge pop star, and they can no longer afford her on a teen tv show. Also, she probably herself wants to focus on her music which sucks but I guess good for her.

Leah Brielle Tech week is the rehearsals where we run the show on the stage and figure out the lighting and sounds and all the technical stuff that we’ll be using in the real show. Those rehearsals usually only happen for a week. Hence the name “tech week.” Many actors and actresses dread tech week, because figuring out the technical aspects of the show takes a long time. The actors and actresses have to stand in one position, repeat actions an absurd amount of times, etc. It’s boring, painful, and stressful, but somehow we theater kids find a way to love it. Hope that description made sense. 🙂

The actor who plays her was apparently born in December 1980. So if the character is a little bit younger, she would count as a millennial. (Given that a "millennial" is apparently anyone born between 1981 and 1996.) (Not that it matters. i don't even care about this f**king show. I'm just being a pedant.)

To be fair, the ‘triggered as a millennial’ bit was intentionally out of touch. Ricky mouths the word ‘millennial’ in disbelief. The dying and deceased part, on the other hand...

@sinead56334 жыл бұрын
Isabella Michael I don’t think it’s for younger kids though. It’s gen z nostalgia. So their target audience would be teens to young adults. Kids wouldn’t understand a lot of the jokes in the series.

This show is so good. Honestly... I didn't get the nostalgia because it was past my time, but after the prom episode, this show gets so good and original. Ricky is a very interesting and broken character. You should really review the whole series like you do Riverdale.
@ilmianafirmantika80793 жыл бұрын
I was a teen when HSM movies came out, but I gotta say, this show doesn't exactly give me nostalgia because I think I enjoy it more than the original. I am still in episode six, but so far I really like how they portray Ricky's character. At first, he seems to be the regular tropey character; a boy with comitment issue. But over time he develops and grows. He has his own probleme and weaknesses but he's willing to try to make things better. So excited that they renewed this for the third season too!
