Never screw the end of the board until the next board is butted up to it. Then it won't split or fracture. Good job for a spread though.

You’re all correct. Go to about 1:20 and pause. Zoom in and you will see two sheets of PIR (celotex) above the joists. This is to stop air condensing inside the joists and creating damp problems. The only down side is it creates a very dominant roof when viewed externally.
@matnewton3123 Жыл бұрын
Sorry this should have been a reply to a comment below which noted no apparent insulation. It’s not between the joists it’s on top of the roof.

thank you for the video. Can I ask is that an attachment on the end of your drill for the screw gun and screw strips ? Or is it a drill made for just screwing in ?
Great vid mate. I’m a joiner and I’ve got to do some boarding this week and never done full sized rooms before. Do you need to stagger your boards like we do for our flooring?
@AlexMorleyPlastering2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Stagger the boards. Thanks for watching the videos.

So when does the ceiling get insulated?
@jp69752 жыл бұрын
I'd reckon it's constructed as a warm roof - so you don't put the insulation above the plasterboard.
@AlexMorleyPlastering2 жыл бұрын
The above comment is correct. It is a warm roof.
@GamingJinxed2 жыл бұрын
thats not up to the plasterer is it ? also it could be insulated from the other side of those osb boards as it gives an extra air void for insulating between the beams

Good content genuinely. But the TV presenting style just feels odd, you should be on homes under the hammer or some thing
@AlexMorleyPlastering2 жыл бұрын
😂😂😂 thank you…..i guess….?? But really sure what TV presenting style is tbh. We do try and be clear and unambiguous which probably contributes to the delivery.
