The coldest Winter Night concert. An amazing one it is! Great pick.

That entire concert is one of the best live concert DVDs I have ever seen. Another song from that concert that is worth reacting to is "Elizabeth, Part I, II, & III"

I have suggested Kamelot but not this particular song, I think. "Epica" was a Kamelot album which inspired the name for the band - Epica!...... Oliver on keyboards in Kamelot and Simone, singer with Epica, are married..... Thomas Youngblood, Kamelot, is an awesome guitarist! His "duels" with Oliver are outstanding!!! "The Haunting (Somewhere In Time)" features Simone singing with Roy.... There is a new live DVD with these guys, with the new singer Tommy Karevik, featuring a bevvy of beauties making guest vocal appearances!!! (hint, hint!!).... Top reaction!!!!

Roy's vocals continue to impress. Tommy is also a high quality guy representing Kamelot. If I am correct this is at 013 in Tilburg. It is the best place to check out their performances when they do the DVD's takes. Awesome shows, awesome interaction, awesome experience.

Roy Khan! The best vocalist in Norway! So glad you liked. Try Elizabeth Part 1,2 and 3 live! His voice here is amazing !!!

Roy Khan has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, yes, he's awesome; Tommy Karevik is the new singer and he has an amazing voice too. Someone has already suggested The Haunting, that's Kamelot feat. Simone Simons; great song, and they have another duet, but from Epica, feat. Roy Khan, named Trois vierges, only studio version I think, but gorgeaus ballad, if you want to try something different. Nice reaction, as usual ;) Hugs, handsome.🖤

Roy Khan is an amazing singer. His replacement Tommy Kraverrick is amazing too. You should check out some songs with him singing like Sacrimony and Phantom Divine.

Hey Alex! Cool reaction as always 😁Kamelot is really fire. Used to listen to them years ago. I really loved the voice. But I only heard the studio versions. Never saw or heard them live. They are really great. Have to hear more of their new stuff.

That concert is from 2006. Kamelot formed in 1991, but their first album didn't come out until 1995.

No, they aren't. Maybe you are detecting some Queensryche influence in there.

Sound 80ish to me though ... The voice is too much like other singers but very good ... music is really good also . but a thumbs up
@kookoo92354 жыл бұрын
Too much like other singers? What the fuck are you drinking? How many baritones do you have around that have trained themselves to sing in the tenor register doing power metal? Khan is quite literally one of those singers in power metal who you can always recognize no matter what he does, just like the likes of Sammett, Heiman etc etc

@@kookoo9235 Just my opinion no need to throw a cow over it I did say it was good though .... just not to my liking fully ...

@@anthonyhopkins6262 Not meaning to shit on you mate but i just can't wrap my head around "The voice is too much like other singers but very good" when Roy Khan is literally one of those singers you can always tell whether you like or dislike it.

To be fair I don't think you can gauge how extraordinary he is from this one song. Listen to Nights of Arabia, The Fourth Legacy and A Sailorman's Hymn (live 2000), Abandoned, the Elizabeth trilogy, Farewell, Soul Society, Karma, The Edge of Paradise, On The Coldest Winter Night, Wings of Despair and then you will see.

@@kookoo9235 Agreed, his voice is so distinctive. I can see how someone might not like it, if you don't like the theatrical/operatic style or you prefer a more gritty voice, but there's really not a lot of others who sound like him. A bit of Geoff Tate resemblance, but Geoff Tate doesn't do falsetto like Roy uses all the time. And Tommy Karevik in his lower register manages to sound a fair bit like Roy but upper register is totally different and his style is very different. When Roy was younger in his early Conception years and still finding his style his singing did sound a bit more generic but the older he gets the more distinctive it gets as his low range develops.
