this is the first guy whom I've watched his review and felt like he's good coz most car reviews ive seen turn to favour some cars because there are rear wheel drive like MB and BMW but they forget that in real word all wheel drive means safety and Traction especially here in UK where it's always damp. Good job. Ive only seen two of your videos but I haven't sensed any favouritism on certain cars you laid facts as they are compared to some other guys .Thank you Alex

I was watching the tach during your test drive and noticed that engine speed popped up to 2,000 rpm a couple of times but most of the time that engine was running at something like 1,500. Impressively low engine speed even for a drive on your roads.
@AAutoBuyersGuide9 жыл бұрын
+William Large The engine produces an insane amount of low end torque which allows this, it also really helps fuel economy.

+Alex on Autos How reliable are air suspensions, and typically how long do they last. I'm interested in eventually purchasing a S6, but I'm hesitant about a vehicle with air suspension.
@jonathanradler38248 жыл бұрын
ive had it on my mercedes benz gl 450 for about 9 years before one of the air sacs popped, costs about 2000$ to repair, and if you have bought the s6 and it does pop, make sure to fix it quickly because it can reek havoc on the axle, had another 2000 dollars of repair because i waited too long.

Great review! I've been a fan of your thorough reviews for quite some time. Question on ride comfort - what's your take on the reliability of air suspensions in these luxury sport cars/SUVs generally? My gut tells me to steer clear of air suspensions because of cost/reliability/repair even though it may contribute to better overall ride. Any thoughts you can share?
@AAutoBuyersGuide9 жыл бұрын
+Vincent Yabut Air suspensions will always cost more in the long run than a standard suspension, no matter whose air suspension it is. Our old GMC Envoy with the rear air suspension had to have its airbags replaced around 110,000 miles, our Jaguar Super V8 with a full air suspension has so far had no issues but air suspension struts can cost 2-4X the cost of a traditional strut and the compressor may need replacement in the 100-200K window.
@vincentyabut48289 жыл бұрын
+Alex on Autos Yup I generally drive my cars to the ground hoping to get 150/200k miles so will definitely encounter repair/maintenance for air suspension. I am thinking about either a new xc90 or possibly q7 but will probably decline the air suspension option. Anyway thanks for the quick response and $.02. Keep up the great work!

How does this profoundly expensive car not offer standard ventilated seats, nor auto brake hold? I'm pretty excited for Hyundai to spin off the Genesis line. I don't predict them omitting such features - as well they shouldn't. I'm also concerned about the alcantara door inserts. Alcantara wears quickly and easily - they've placed it in a very high touch/high wear area; odd decision . That steering wheel is fantastic, though.

@Mr.BobbyBrown9 жыл бұрын
+Edvin Gusinac It's correctly priced, but what I meant was a shame in the fact that the majority of people will never be able to experience what it has to offer due to the price. Neither a pro or a con, just a fact.

+Mr Bobby Brown It makes me wonder how useful such reviews are then.... The review in itself is very good, but if only a few people really benefit from it, well what is the point?
@Mr.BobbyBrown9 жыл бұрын
+Ronald de Rooij The point is to appeal to all the masses. It's the same reason Lincoln has Matthew Mcconaughey in their commercials. Not everyone can afford a Lincoln, but someone with Matthew Mcconaughey's stature possibly could. Those people are out there, and they need reviews too.

+Mr Bobby Brown You could say the same for the BMW 8 series, Merc S Class, Maybach, Ferrari, Lamborghini etc etc. They're called luxury brands for a reason. They are bloody expensive to make sure common yobs like me can't mix with the upper crust.

EPS steering is HORRIBLE and should stopped being used at worst it can be dangerous if electrical power is lost and at best it is artificial feeling and gives the driver no tactile indication of what is going on under the wheels.
