My question/suggestion, can you do a video on what needs to be turned OFF in order to have trouble free trailer towing? Upon going into reverse, and starting to move, the car slams on the brakes and alarms start beeping. I've tried to learn this from the manual but the information is not in one place. So... I've been meaning to ask someone about an issue with my 2023 Outback Wilderness... It's kinda minor but it really annoys me. It's the automatic dimming feature on the display. As you mentioned, when it gets dark or darker, the system has a sensor and will lower the brightness, on sunny bright days, when I go through an underpass, the sensor immediately lower the brightness as if it's night time... I'm okay with that... But it's when I come out of the underpass, it isn't instant like it did when I went in, oftentimes it takes as long as 7-10 seconds before it brightens the display again... I actually missed an off ramp once because I couldn't see the navigation (the off ramp was immediately after the tunnel), plus the harsh sunlight didn't help because the signs were backlit from the sun. Is there any way to adjust that terrible delay? Why can't the sensor react as fast as when it goes dark from entering the underpass?

If you want to unlock all of your doors with your key fob, just click the open button twice. No need to spend time reconfiguring anything.

I have a 2024 Legacy. How in the hell can I turn off the seat-belt noise?
@visitken2 ай бұрын
You cannot.

For my '13 Impreza I can turn off the front seatbelt alarm by (I might have this a bit wrong, but I found it on the Internet) turn the key to accessory, buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 20 times. This also worked in our '22 Outback, but the rear seatbelt alarm wasn't disabled. Whenever the battery is disconnected, I need to do this again.

Great video, thanks Alex. Do you have to set AVH every time or can you make it permanent?
@alexpmo3 ай бұрын
Thank you! unfortunately, it has to be set each time you restart the car in all but the Subaru Ascent. If turned on, it will stay until until you shut it off or the car is turned off.

@@alexpmo great, thank you. No problem at all - just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing a great hack!

Why does my Subaru unlock all doors when I walk up to the driver's door? I have it set to only open the driver's door. It doesn't happen all the time. It happens occasionally.

Sounds like you have a censor issue between the relay and settings

Why do I always get the message “Would you like to update the following settings? Auto Vehicle Hold:ON” when I turn on my 2025 Forester? It’s driving me crazy! Doesn’t matter if I touch ok or cancel. It still asks me the next time

Generally, the 11.6 in multimedia screen is another large sum added to the MSRP and it's a maintence trap👈
