After scrolling through the comments I think I'm the only one commenting (not that I'm the only one noticing) on the brilliant use of chromatic to achromatic colour shifts during the song. Black and white (achromatic) being used to indicate the times the girlfriend was feeling sad and alone due to her (obviously) cheating boyfriend, and the return to colours when with Alex to signify when she's happy again. And then there's just the amazing music but hey a little over analysis never hurt anyone :)

Not only are you really talented, but the song really speaks to me. My ex could never make time for me and when he did it was so tense and you could tell he would rather be doing something else. I've been watching Alex Samson videos on KZbin and this is the first one that doesn't hold my attention. I'm trying to understand the message it brings but I can only discern the immaturity of young love. Young people that age have not experienced the tragic loss of love where you "soul-seek" and try to understand your failings and missed possibilities and own them. Every man has to experience the deepest heartbreak that tears your soul and makes you choke on life. Why? Because you - we, all learn through pain. Each man is a roughly hewn statue, and young love chips away at the hard edges and smooths the surface to reveal the man he is meant to be. You carry these chips and flaws from inexperience and each love hones them away. Yes, this song deserves a rewrite to express the hurt and pain that changes you, creates you, and reveals you for the man inside. Thoughtlessness to intimate acknowledgment and consideration. Life is not a party or a feel-good time, it is give and take, compromise from the heart, and consideration for two lives living as one.
