I’m a drummer and have been listening to and playing metal and deathcore a long time and Eugene is just so good. Creative writing, catchy beats, technical fills, but those feet!! Without a doubt imo the quickest and most REAL double kick technique I know of. Unbelievable. My feet are fast but I can’t get anywhere close to what is needed to play these tunes - that’s the sign of a master. Well done and keep inspiring us 👍🏼

I've never been into drums until Slaughter. It's insane what this guy can produce. Also being said. It's utterly incredible if you listen close. The drums in most of their songs sound like they have two guitarists. They set it up in a way the drummer makes it sound like a guitar. I've never heard it before

@@ВасилийБлаженов-ж9е не совсем так. Теоретически, удар "задницей" барабанной палочки, да, дает более тяжелый звук, потому что у неё чуть больше площадь и жесткость. Только вот "колпачок" со стандартной стороны (и соотношение весов на разных концах палочки) позволяет ей при ударе гораздо легче отскакивать от барабана, а с "задницей" такого не происходит. То есть при такой игре, как у Новикова, в каждый удар нужно вкладывать больше кинетической энергии и сил. Что только утверждает крутость Новикова в моих глазах)

Я конечно не эксперт, но мне показалось, что держа палочки наоборот, легче делать гравити бласт, когда надо одной рукой быстро лупить в основной барабан. Так как задняя часть палочки тяжелее, а значит и делает сильнее удар при гравити бласте. Но это лишь моя догадка.

This may not be my favorite of the recent singles, but dammit if these drum parts aren't some of the sickest that Novikov has done. The groove is unreal, it's laser precise, and I love the smaller, unique details, like the hi-hat breaks during the verses, and that crazy cymbal blasting at the end of the song. Obviously the kick and snare work is outrageous too, but his attention to detail really sets him apart! Can't wait til Friday! 🤘😈🤘
