To be fair I don't think Toho claimed Final Wars would be the last Godzilla movie ever made. I think they merely claimed it would be the last they made in "at least ten years." That ended up being true since it would be more than 11.5 years until Toho released another.

Mason Bianchi what? The showa series and heisei series have their own time lines, millennium is just a bunch of stand alones that are either connected to the first or just ignore it completely (with the exception of the kiryu saga). The anime trilogy is not connected to the other series in ANY way. Hell godzilla wasn't even ONE of the first monsters to appear in the timeline

For some reason, everytime I watch this and any other Godzilla movies with my buddy Gavin, we always commentary over the monster fights with what we think the monsters would sound like if they could talk. I always liked that detail. Those three kaiju have been allies for Godzilla more than enemies. Most of the other monsters have been bad guys in previous movies, but those three are usually accepted as allies for the big G.

So I had no problem with the video this is just something I noticed about the theory that Godzilla remembered his allies so he didn't kill them. In one of the movies I think Kumonga was also an ally and I just thought it was interesting that technically Kumonga could've been sparred too because all Godzilla did was throw him. I know it's a stretch I just thought it was interesting.

I think the Fan Theroy on why Godzilla didn't kill Anguirus, Rodan, and King Cesar works way better. It basically shows Godzilla knowing that Rodan, Anguirus, and King Cesar are Earth's Kaijus, and that they help balance Earth's natural ecosystems and he's remembered that they were once allies in the past. And Toho won't be using those three Kaijus anytime sooner until they make another Cinematic Universe after 2022!

The big problem with this movie is having too much time spent on the humans and mutants. A lot of the monster fights could've been longer if we didn't have so many matrix ripoff scenes. One reviewer put it best: during the motorcycle fight, why isn't Mothra fighting Jet Jaguar or something??? Also Rodan, Anguirus and Caesar should've joined Godzilla after being defeated and been there for the final battle.

yes, toho did purposefully make the cgi on zilla look like shit. they scanned a trendmasters zilla figure and intentionally made the quality of the model as bad as possible. they really didn’t care and i love it.
