A minor, and you can pretty much stay in just A minor if you like, but (occasionally) G# is a nice way to resolve to the tonic (A) when the E major chord is played. I think a good example of how to jam to this is to listen the the hall of fame version with Prince. Am, Am7 (G), Am6 (F#) F then Am, G, D, E. The chorus / bridge / whatever lol (Nobody told me...) is Am, C#m F#, C#m, B, E
