Heim ins Reich means “back home” it was a foreign policy pursued by Hitler in 1938 to call all Volksdeutsche “ethnic Germans” back to the fatherland. That didn’t mean to move back to Germany but for them to help reclaim land lost in the Treaty of Versailles like the Sudetenland and Poland, Austria, Czechoslovakia and to bring it back into the control of greater Germany.

New Subscriber here. I am so glad this was put on my homepage....I may have to get a 2nd on my house and start collecting!! Look at the condition of the items in this first box! Cannot believe they're over 100 years old. The SS and SA daggers, and the Polizei bayonet look almost new.. i have always wanted an SA dagger..to think that Hitler, in order to get the support of the Army Generals, betrayed his "Brown Shirts", the Sturm Abteilung(sp?), because they were a numerical threat to the standing Army. I've got something really cool, idk if youd call it trench art, but it's a hand made box about the size of a letter, with some bullets, coins soldered on the lid, and a large engraving inside with leaves and a crown kinda set up like a cadillac logo. I'm assuming ww1.edit: its solid brass

Hey Alex, can you, or anybody else here for that matter, tell me how much is the very cheapest SS dagger, but to be in semi normal condition, to have whole blade, motto, all insignia etc. It can be chipped a little on the wood as the one here, no matter how good scabbard is in paint etc ?
